Does Amy Winehouse Want a Nose Job?
Amy Winehouse seems to have checked out of rehab and headed right into the plastic surgery clinic.
Since the rumors of a breast augmentation were first circulated and then confirmed last month (See Make Me Heal’s story on Amy WInehouse’s breast augmentation), the 26-year old singer has also undergone lip injections to create a trout pout (See Make Me Heal’s story on Amy Winehouse’s lip injections).
Given the singer’s history with addiction, her sudden interest in plastic surgery has set off rumors that the former crack lover has transferred her obsession to plastic surgery and altering her appearance (See Make Me Heal’s story on Amy Winehouse’s plastic surgery problem).
While Amy was reportedly interested in getting a buttocks augmentation, she is now said to be interested in getting a rhinoplasty to complete her transformation into a pin-up girl.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Amy Winehouse does not have any readily visible nasal deformities. It is up to her as to what she would like refined. A plastic surgery “addiction” may be interpreted differently by different individuals. What may be the extreme for one is just part of the daily routine for another. Amy is not necessarily addicted to plastic surgery if she wishes to have a few things refined.
Sometimes, individuals with extreme and addictive personalities may focus all of their energy on one thing, but that is a psychological issue that requires further discussion and may be treated by a mental health professional.”
A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Everyone tells her there’s nothing wrong with her nose. But Amy does nothing by halves. Now she’s beaten drugs, plastic surgery must not become her next obsession.
“Since changing her boobs Amy has been scrutinizing her body.”
Actually, a nose job might help improve Amy’s look, according to plastic surgeon Dr Richard Ellenbogen.
He says, “Amy Winehouse would look incredible with her nose done. Her long nose steals her beauty. It must be done by an expert in noses, like me, and not the guy who did her lips.”
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer agrees, saying, “Amy Winehouse has apparently undergone plastic surgery for breast enhancement and lip augmentation. Apparently she is now considering surgery on her nose. Changes could definitely be achieved with surgery including defining her tip and softening her dorsum. However, I hope she does not overdo it and end up looking plastic.”
Amy may want to wait a bit before going under the knife again, given new reports that her recent breast implants have sprung a leak.
