Make Me Heal was proud when British actress and host of Britain’s Got Talent Amanda Holden admitted to using Botox and loving it. But now the beaming blonde is reportedly singing a different tune.
38-year old Amanda once compared getting Botox injections to getting regular teeth cleanings (See Make Me Heal’s story on Amanda Holden’s Botox injections), but now she says she has given up Botox.
“It’s like getting your roots done. I think as long as you don’t go stupidly over the top…I can move my face.”
But now Amanda has different story, saying, “I haven’t had Botox for eight or nine months and when I’m out in LA, I think about it even less.”
She goes on to say that she doesn ‘t like how everyone looks the same when they use Botox:
“It puts me off when I see people out there. Everyone looks the same and it’s quite grotesque. “
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer says, “Amanda Holden is apparently off of Botox. That is a choice that she can make since Botox is a temporary treatment for dynamic wrinkles. If she decides to try it again in the future, she may want to try a different injector. My goal with injecting patients is to maintain normal facial animation while softening the wrinkles and signs of aging. “
Amanda still looks like the Botox may still be in her skin to some extent, or she had minimal need of it, as her skin still looks great.
Facial plastic surgery expert Dr Paul Nassif says, “Amanda Holden looks great for her age. Plastic surgery and Botox, are strictly an individual’s personal preference. Amanda shows a few signs of aging, but they are minimal. She does not necessarily need Botox, and looks very nice with or without it.”
Plastic surgeon Dr Sherrell J Aston says, “I understand Mrs. Holden’s feelings towards Botox and I try to remind patients that their results may vary. Some patients like the results more than others and at the end of the day it is a personal decision. With that said, Botox should always be used in moderation for the best results.”
On the other hand, Amanda may still be using Botox, just to a lesser extent than previously.
OcBody Plastic Surgeon Dr John Di Saia says, “She’s just using less, which for those who has over used in the past, is often a very good decision.”
Amanda is undeniably attractive, with or without Botox and Make Me Heal suspects she will be back to plastic surgery sooner rather than later.
