  • Although plastic surgery as a reputation of being omnipresent in the entertainment world, there are a few stars who are bucking the trend. Or at least claiming to be. Amongst the latest stars to join a growing list of celebrities that favor anti-aging skincare products over plastic surgery is Cheryl Cole.

Cheryl Cole rose to fame on a British reality series to form the girl group Girls Aloud. Although she has spent some time in America as a judge on The X Factor, her gig didn’t last long and neither did her time in Hollywood. However, while she was Stateside, she came to the conclusion that everyone has plastic surgery, turning them into look-alike clones without any unique attributes.

Cheryl believes surgery can make people look the same: “In Hollywood you see surgery all the time, walking down the street, but I don’t think it’s good or nice, because everyone looks the same. Part of being you is your uniqueness and identity. If you get the same surgery as the woman next door then chances are you’ll start looking the same. That’s just not good.”

Most likely, Cheryl is probably referring to the permanently frozen many women (and men) get when they overdo Botox injections, which inhibits some facial movement when it is overdone.

While over here, Cheryl also poked fun at lip augmentation, posting a picture of herself sporting oversized fake lips and a caption about everything being bigger in the US.

Still, Cheryl doesn’t look immune to the effects of plastic surgery herself. As an aspiring singer and star, she looks like she may have had a slight rhinoplasty so that her nose would be symmetrical from all angles and probably a breast augmentation as well, as her bust is very large, round and full for a woman of her size and stature.

And lest you think Cheryl is unique in her standpoint, there are other celebrities that have also spoken out for the “natural look”—whether or not they themselves are suspected of having gone under the knife.

Halle Berry is pregnant with her second child at 47 and she says that the secret to her youthful looks is a diligent skincare regimen.

Halle says, “I’m not one of those people who opts for plastic surgery, so my philosophy is to take care of what you have. I’m really serious about my skincare regimen at night. I never ever go to bed – or even nap – with make-up on.”

Like Cheryl, Halle has also faced rumors of plastic surgery over the years, with many believing that a slight nose job transformed the Oscar-winning actress from a beauty queen to an A-list star.

Australian actress Naomi Watts has a perfectly smooth forehead that women half her age would envy and is besties with some of the biggest Botox lovers in the biz, but still says that she isn’t a fan of the results of the popular injectable.

“Never say never—and I certainly don’t judge anyone who does it. But most of the characters I play are going through some kind of emotional turmoil, so my job requires me to have expression. If my face was froze, what right do I have to play that part? All the women who haven’t anything to their faces are still able to play great roles. And some of the ones who have done something have messed it up—they look freakish. Anyway, for me it’s about playing women with rich lives—and the longer the life, the deeper the wrinkles.”

It’s hard to tell which actresses are really for and really against plastic surgery, which could be a sign of a plastic surgery job well done.
