For years, former Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner has been notorious for his bad plastic surgery. Now the stepfather of Kim Kardashian and father of reality star Brody Jenner has gone under the knife, with much more positive results.
Of his initial facelfit, it has been reported that it was done shortly after Bruce’s divorce, when he was going through a rough patch 25 years ago. Of that time in his life, Kim has said, “Bruce has gotten a lot of media criticism in the past for getting an ill-advised partial facelift and a nose job. He has never ever spoken about this until now. It’s very heartfelt and I think people will see how sweet and simply human Bruce is.”
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “This is a good example of when the upper face (forehead) and periorbital area (around the eyes) is a mismatch with the rest of the face which as has been rejuvenated through surgery. He might want to consider Botox cosmetic around the eyes and his forehead to help smooth out his skin.”
Bruce revealed his new look on the family’s reality TV series, Keeping up with the Kardashians. His new face looks much more natural for a man nearing 60 and isn’t nearly as tight and feminine looking. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Bruce Jenner’s plastic surgery).
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “It was recently revealed that Bruce Jenner underwent a revisional facelift after his first “ill-advised” facelift and rhinoplasty. He was always a handsome man, and he passed on some of his traits to his son Brody Jenner. The results of his new facelift are more subtle, and is face looks less acute. He looks good for a man in his 60′s.”
Kim Kardashian blogged about how pleased the family was with Bruce’s new look, writing, “Unfortunately, the result wasn’t what Bruce had hoped for and for years since then he has been the victim of cruel taunts from the media. Since he’s turning 60 in October, Bruce felt it was time to correct the mistakes made by the previous doctor so he went to a new doctor for a second facelift. The results are amazing! Bruce looks better than ever and he is extremely happy with the result.”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said,, “It is possible Bruce may have had a facelift. His cheekbones appear prominent, and it looks like he may have had Botox in a few areas on his face. Overall he still looks pretty good and nothing was severely overdone.”
Make Me Heal is glad to see that Bruce has learned from his mistakes and that he won’t be making a new list of bad plastic surgery any time soon.
