Carrie Fisher’s battle of the bulge is nearly as legendary as her role as Princess Leia. Carrie recently lost 50 pounds in a bid to fit back into the notorious gold bikini, but after the weight loss, Carrie has begun looking a little plastic.
54-year old Carrie Fisher has reported lost 50 pounds since becoming the face of Jenny Craig. But when she unveiled her newly svelte figure on national television, many viewers weren’t looking at her new body, but what appeared to be a new face as well.
Carrie has probably been getting a little carried away with plastic surgery for years, undergoing a facelift and necklift as well as an over zealous eyelift (See Make Me Heal’s story on Carrie Fisher’s plastic surgery) before taking time out for plastic surgery recovery.
Her fuller face that debuted with her slimmer body is probably a result of also getting Botox injections to smooth out her forehead, the space between her eyes and crow’s feet as well as dermal fillers like Restylane placed in her lip and cheeks and the nasolabial folds stretching from her nose to her lips.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Carrie Fisher has lost a lot of weight and it was becoming apparent in her face. She has a rejuvenated look now and appears to have had a facelift, eyelid lift (Blepharoplasty), dermal fillers to her lips and cheeks and Botox to her forehead. She looks good and much more youthful.”
Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, ” If anything, it looks like a combination of fillers and Botox. If she had a facelift, I think she could have had a much nicer result.”
Makemeheal.com congratulates Carrie on her dramatic weight loss and can’t wait to see what the clever writer does next.
