Christy Turlington isn’t covering magazines anymore, she’s now moved on to covering hot topics for women, from motherhood to aging. One thing she isn’t doing? Botox.
At 43 years old, Christy Turlington still has the sweet smile that made her a fashionable favorite back in the ’90s. But although many of her former co-models have turned to plastic surgery and fillers like Juvederm or Botox to get rid of wrinkles, Christy seems to be staying true to her word and relying on skincare products to look her best and stay relatively wrinkle-free.
In the past, Christy has said, “I’m not afraid of aging. I would absolutely not do Botox. It actually makes me feel happier about my face when I look at people my age…who’ve had it done (See Make Me Heal’s story on Christy Turlington’s Botox stance).”
Although many models and actresses change their mind when they start showing obvious signs of aging, Christy looks like she really is relying on ayurvedic products and yoga to stay beautiful. Christy has some small wrinkles and crow’s feet, which could benefit from Botox, but they look good on her otherwise smooth skin.
Currently, Christy is working with the Harvard School of Public Health to raise awareness about maternal health issues.
