  • Last year, Courtney Love, singer of rock band Hole and the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Kobain, was the continual target of plastic surgery rumors after the singer dropped significant amounts of weight in a significantly small amount of time. Now, the rumors have resurfaced following Courtney’s continually gaunt appearance.

At the time, now 44-year old Courtney blamed her weight loss on yoga, a macrobiotic diet and says she also took inspiration from Oprah Winfrey’s rapid weight loss through Slim-Fast. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Courtney Love’s Weight Loss Surgery).

Last year, Make Me Heal pointed to evidence of Courtney’s multitude of bikini pictures, which were less than flattering, showing her abdomen lined with Tara Reid-like ripples and lumpiness on her stomach. Additionally, there is some excess, lax and loose skin on her stomach, which is normal considering her substantial weight loss. Looking close at the images, it appears that Courtney’s rapid weight loss is not due to liposuction, but rather is due to simple dieting…although Courtney has taken it to an extreme to achieve a somewhat unhealthy, rail-thin look. There are no scars to show any tell-tale signs of surgery and the lumpy, bumpy, and rippled-like effect on her stomach in some photos is likely only due to dieting, not uneven results that can happen from liposuction. In the above photo, the angle in which the singer-actress was taken in also exaggerates the contouring irregularities on her stomach.

It seemed unlikely that gastric bypass was behind her weight loss, as it is usually a drastic procedure reserved for the morbidly obese. However, The Daily Mail is reporting the News of the World: ‘Courtney keeps laughing to her friends and saying, ‘Everyone thinks I’ve had hypnosis but why bother with all that effort? All I did was check myself in and have a fat band fitted’.

‘Courtney has always had problems with her appearance and is convinced she is ugly and fat. Two years ago she had a gastric band fitted at a surgery in Beverly Hills.

‘Lots of doctors refused to do it as she was nowhere near obese, just a little overweight, but eventually she found one.

‘And as soon as she had the operation the excess weight started to drop off her. Now she is just skin and bones and looks terrible.’

When the rumors first appeared, Courtney took to her blog and adamantly denied surgery was the cause of her weight loss. “I couldn’t get that surgery if I begged for it,” says Courtney love on her fan site MoonWashedRose.com (see the entire post below). Her publicist is also dismissing these rumors, saying “Not true. She says she never got surgery.”

Courtney’s lengthy history with plastic surgery indicates that she seems to be deeply dissatisfied with her appearance. She has had several nose jobs, breast implants, as well as collagen and lip injections, in addition to her much debated weight-loss surgery.

Make Me Heal thinks that the next doctor Courtney visits should be a shrink and not a plastic surgeon.

One of the best and most neglected way for fast weigh lose is driking at least 8 glasses of water each day. If you combine this with regular exercise you will achieve your weight loss goals.
