  • For twenty-somethings, Danica McKellar will always be Winnie Cooper, the mysterious love interest from the popular family show The Wonder Years. These days, Danica is all grown up, with a family of her own. After news came that Danica is getting divorced from her husband of three years, Makemeheal.com wonders if Danica will seek a plastic surgery refresher for her return to the dating scene.

37-year old Danica McKellar filed for divorce from her composer husband Mike Verta, of three years.

The couple has one son together, Draco.

Danica told TMZ, “I am saddened by the end of my marriage to Mike Verta.”

“However, we are committed to raising our son together and we are focused on remaining the best parents we can be.”

Despite not working steadily since the end of The Wonder Years, Danica has remained camera-ready, possibly getting breast implants and some lip fillers like Juvederm. In light of her divorce, she may also use a little Botox to smooth her forehead.

Dr. Jonathan Hall is one of the top plastic surgeons in Boston, who is know for his natural appearing results. Dr. Hall, who has not treated Danica McKellar, says, “If she has had any plastic surgery it is good, because she looks natural and not distorted.  Wouldn’t be surprised if she has had some Botox to her forehead to hide some of the stress of her divorce..  It is typical in Boston for young mothers after a divorce to consider breast implants to restore a deflated look after babies, and a “tummy tuck” to restore the stretched muscles and skin from pregnancy. And sometimes a little liposuction of the “muffin top” to fit into clothes better.  Danica may have had these, or could just have a good push up bra and be lucky to have kept her shape.  We’ll have to ‘wonder’.”

In her time off-screen, Danica graduated from UCLA with a degree in mathematics and has written four books encouraging young girls with an interest in math.

“Unfortunately, girls think that being glamorous means making mistakes and being irresponsible,” McKellar told ABC. “And that’s just not true. The smarter you are, the better prepared you are to make decisions in your life, the more likely you are to lead a satisfying life and be glamorous and fun and anything you want to be.”

Reportedly, Danica follows her own advice and has protected her own interests with a pre-up.
