Diane Sawyer has left Good Morning America with tears, but has she also left the popular morning television show with plastic surgery? Make Me Heal takes a look at Diane over the years.
At the beginning of her final show, Diane opened with “And for one more time, good morning America,” warning it would be a heavy Kleenex day.
“My heart is smiling,” she said. “The privilege of sharing my mornings with all of you has been more than I can say.”
While Diane looks flawless on camera, with nary a wrinkle in sight, up close, Diane shows definite signs of being a woman of a certain age, complete with crow’s feet and bags around the eyes and loose skin on her neck. Retaining the full lips of her youth and a crack make-up team has definitely helped Diane consistently appear to be camera-ready.
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer says, “Diane Sawyer has a nice defined neckline which can be achieved with a lower face lift. It is unclear from the pictures if this is what she had done. She does appear to have wrinkles on her forehead and crow’s feet which would respond nicely to Botox Cosmetic.”
However, Diane may have had a minor nose job somewhere between being a beauty queen and becoming a weather girl. Older photos reveal a wider tip with a slight bump, while Diane’s new nose is much straighter and more refined. In addition, she may have also had at least one facelift in the past.
OcBody plastic surgeon Dr John Di Saia tells Make Me Heal, “Diane has probably had a facelift, maybe more than once.”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist says, “
Diane Sawyer looks very natural. There is a possibility she had a facelift combined with a necklift, as there is no excess skin present around her neck and chin area. There is a possibility of some Botox as well. Other than that, I do not see evidence she had additional work done.”
Make Me Heal enjoys Diane’s special reports and looks forward to her return to the news on ABC’s “World News,” where she is replacing her former GMA co-host Charles Gibson as the anchor.
