Carrie Underwood looks fresh faced and natural but some suspect that since first rising to fame after winning her season of American Idol back in 2005, Carrie has left the country arena for Hollywood’s favorite past time: plastic surgery.
31-year old Carrie Underwood is a verified country singing star these days, but she has become a lot more glamorous over the past many years since she first became a household name by winning American Idol. Although the pretty blonde looks better than ever, some suspect that it’s more than a clever stylist making her look so good, it’s also some very careful plastic surgery.
In a report from the June 23 print edition of Life & Style magazine, via International Business Times website, some experts suspect that Carrie has done some dabbling with plastic surgery, including a possible minor nose job.
The nose job is said to have helped feminize Carrie’s nose, softening a small bump and narrowing the tip, according to experts who have not treated the star.
“Carrie’s features seem to be enhanced by rhinoplasty that narrowed her bridge and reduced her natural bump and tip,” Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Jon Perlman tells the magazine.
Another Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Payman Simoni, agrees, telling the magazine, “[Her nose] looked wider and less feminine when she was younger. Her nose is now in balance with the rest of her face. It hasn’t created a major drastic change in her overall appearance, but she looks more feminine and refined.”
Not only does the doctor suspect that Carrie has had a nose job since being a young ingénue on the show, he also thinks that she may using anti aging injectables to help smooth her skin and eliminate possible creases on her forehead.
“Carrie appears to have Botox or Xeomin injections smoothing her forehead, crow’s feet and frown lines,” Perlman said.
Perlman says that the injections can cost up to $2,000 a year to upkeep. However, he adds that he also thinks that Carrie is spending roughly $600 a month on lip injections, using a filler such as Restylane or Juvederm to plump her pout.
“Carrie’s lips look fuller now, most likely from injections of Juvederm or Restalyne,” he added.
Carrie does look a lot more glamorous and typically Hollywood than when she was a curly haired cutie in a T-shirt on the reality competition singing show. However, she could have simply picked up some great tricks along the way, rather than indulged in plastic surgery.
It looks like Carrie used to do her own hair, but her hairstyles have become more glam and a hairstyle can actually help to change the appearance of one’s face, accentuating or drawing attention away from features. Carrie could also be using makeup techniques that better flatter her face, highlighting the good parts and minimizing any small flaws. Rather than fillers in her lips, she could be using a lip plumper and gloss as well as some highlighting shimmer to make her lips appear plumper.
