Kenny Rogers is known as The Gambler and it seems he did a little gambling on what the public wants to know when he wrote his newly released memoir. Apparently in the creation of the book, he took out a chapter on his plastic surgery and instead replaced it with stories about his sexual exploits.
74-year old Kenny Rogers confessed to having plastic surgery in an interview in 2006, but he doesn’t talk about it in his new memoir, Luck or Something Like It.
In the past, Kenny went under the knife for a facelift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) as well as a browlift and probably uses Botox injections as well (See Make Me Heal’s story on Kenny Rogers’ plastic surgery). However, he has never been happy with the results and has sworn off plastic surgery since the operations.
Although his eyelid surgery has become his later life legacy, there is reportedly no mention of it in the new book.
“I actually had written a whole segment on it but the publishers said, ‘Let’s not do that, that’s all people will talk about,’ and this book is about my journey and my musical connections,” Rogers told Fox News. “It was a phase I went through. I improved myself. I didn’t like the way he did my eyes but I see all these other guys who have had it done and theirs are worse than mine. I’m not going to complain anymore.”
Seems like Kenny has learned his lesson and accepted his new look.
