  • It’s still unclear whether or not New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is planning to make a run for president in 2016. But what has been recently revealed is that the big guy had weight loss surgery back in February. Could plastic surgery be next?

50-year old Chris Christie tells that New York Post that he “secretly underwent lap-band stomach surgery [in February] to aggressively slim down for the sake of his wife and kids.”

“I’ve struggled with this issue for 20 years,” he told the Post. “For me, this is about turning 50 and looking at my children and wanting to be there for them.”

In the past, many people from political gurus to late night talk show hosts have discussed how Chris’ rampant obesity could be a hindrance to his political aspirations.

However, Chris claims its not about politics, it’s about his family.

“It’s not a career issue for me,” he said. “It’s a long-term health issue for me.”

After lap band surgery, it is common to undergo skin tightening plastic surgery for loose skin as well as liposuction to get rid of any lumps and bumps that stubbornly stick around.

Chris is still early in his weight loss journey, although he may want to start planning for secret plastic surgery in the future, as his schedule sounds like it may get busy.
