Lindsay Lohan has never admitted to having any plastic surgery, although she sure looks like she’s had a few tweaks since her Freaky Friday film. Now it seems that the former Disney diva isn’t just eschewing her signature red hair for a different shade of blonde, she is also looking to get rid of her famous freckles.
On the eve of her 28th birthday, Lindsay Lohan is said to be fed up with the freckles that cover her body and made her one of the most adorable and famous kids on the big screen.
Despite formerly claiming to love her freckles, the pin sized pigmentations seem to be bothering the recovering addict as of late, according to a source at RadarOnline.
“Lindsay is known for trying new things, but she’s shocked friends and family members by suddenly getting irate over her freckles,” a source said.
“She’s always loved her freckles – well, pretended to, anyway – but now she’s decided it’s time to get rid of them and she’s looking into having them either bleached or lasered away,” the source added.
Lindsay first shot to fame in Disney’s Parent Trap remake of their classic family film, sporting freckles and red hair and plenty of personality. Since those childhood days, Lindsay has changed a lot, not just from growing up but also from some frequently overdone plastic surgery.
Since her troubles with drugs and arrests, Lindsay has become known for getting Botox and fillers injected, likely in an effort to make her appearance less haggard.
Some have compared Lindsay’s overfull lips to sausages, while others have said that they are so overfilled that she has difficulty speaking through them. Lindsay’s lips first became obviously overfilled before her first stint in jail, due to drugs and alcohol and she has since continued to use fillers to help replace her formerly full and adorable face, with mostly poor results.
Although Lindsay recently had an Oprah special that showcased her new found sobriety, Lindsay is said to be in London and back to her hard partying ways. Apparently for Lindsay, falling off the wagon also means becoming increasingly obsessed with her looks, which is when she tends to seek out plastic surgery.
“It’s bizarre, but it’s exactly what happens when Lindsay starts going off the rails again – she wants more surgery or a total makeover because she’s so miserable.”
“But everyone’s hoping she leaves her freckles alone as they’re a trademark for her and she looks beautiful with them.”
Alcohol and drug use are known to cause premature signs of aging by damaging and drying out the skin, which may be why Lindsay feels compelled to use plastic surgery to try to hide the signs.
While lasers and bleach treatments can help to reduce the appearance of pigmentation, Lindsay’s freckles are so outstanding that it seems like it would be a very lengthy and tedious procedure to get rid of every freckle on her body, especially as they are likely to come back as the actress is known for sunbathing.
