Dolly Parton is an American icon, as a country vocalist, occasional actress as well as an entrepreneur with yet another album. But where would this Backwoods Barbie be if she didn’t have some plastic surgery?
In the past, Dolly herself and Dolly’s plastic surgeon, Dr. John Grossman, a plastic surgeon in Denver and Beverly Hills have spoken openly about the nips and tucks that the 63-year old singer has had. He revealed a few years ago, “She has a generous bosom, which I augmented some years ago,” he says. “She’s had her face rejuvenated on a number of occasions, [but] not a full face-lift.”

According to Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, “Dolly Parton looks as though she has had a great deal of facial work done:
She seems to have had a brow lift, which is evident because her brows are extremely elevated. Dolly also looks like she has had an upper blepharoplasty (eye lid lift), as the upper eyelid appears hollow.
You can tell that she has had an over-aggressive rhinoplasty because she has an inverted V deformity of the middle vault of the nose. Her bony width (dorsum) is very thin and her tip appears to have been over-reduced.
In addition, her chin appears slightly square due to a chin implant. She most likely had a facelift as well. Her lips are very plump, which is likely due to fillers. Clearly, Dolly is a fan of plastic surgery. She has a wonderful spirit about her.”
Dolly has a great sense of humor about herself, telling talk show host Larry King, “I look at myself like a show dog. I’ve got to keep her clipped and trimmed and in good shape.”
New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “Dolly Parton has always looked amazing. She has obviously had plastic surgery and it has done well for her. In her most recent photos her periorbital [around the eye socket] areas appear hollowed out. She may want to consider some fillers or fat grafting to soften these areas.”
Although Dolly is an amazing woman, it seems that for her, plastic surgery could be too much of a good thing. Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia warns, “Dolly needs to curtail her use of plastic surgery, so she isn’t a Carol Burnett look-a-like in the future. She has been a frequent flyer in her past if appearances are correct.”
Make Me Heal has always enjoyed Dolly’s considerable talents and her latest album, Backwoods Barbie is no exception.
