Drew Barrymore may be amongst the latest of Hollywood’s leading ladies who are against plastic surgery—despite possibly going under the knife in her youth.
36-year old Drew Barrymore has been in front of the camera for most of her life and will likely continue to follow in the family footsteps by remaining part of the active acting community. Like many actresses recently, Drew has expressed that she is not a fan of anti-aging plastic surgery—despite the minimal plastic surgery recovery many less invasive procedures require.
In an interview with InStyle magazine, when asked about plastic surgery, Drew says, “The idea of not looking like myself scares me.”
However, Drew may have had plastic surgery in her youth, as she is thought to have undergone a breast reduction and a possible rhinoplasty (See Make Me Heal’s story on Drew Barrymore’s plastic surgery stance).
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Drew Barrymore did admit to having a breast reduction in her younger years. Many breast reductions for teenage girls are deemed medical necessity due to the weight and strain that their large breasts cause on their still developing back and shoulders. Drew appears to have also had a nose job or Rhinoplasty in the past as well as Botox and dermal fillers to smooth out any fine lines and wrinkles. As the spokesperson for Cover Girl, I’m sure she knows every makeup trick in the book to keeping a youthful look.”
Drew looks great now, but as she gets closer to 40, she may decide to reconsider her plastic surgery stance.
