  • Despite spending a lot of time in the sunny Hamptons for her starring role on the hit TV show revenge, Emily Van Camp doesn’t look like she’s suffering from any premature aging. And while some actresses her age already using preventative measures like Botox injections to avoid signs of aging, Emily said in an interview that she is looking forward to wrinkles.

27-year old Emily Van Camp isn’t your typical Hollywood starlet—no late nights or clubs or incidents for this pretty blonde. Although she does make it a habit to date her costars, including Revenge costar Josh Bowman. But who can resist a British accent? Another Hollywood milestone Emily hopes to avoid is Botox.

Last year Emily appeared on the cover of Women’s Health and inside the magazine revealed the secrets to her hot bod. Those secrets didn’t include plans for plastic surgery.

Although Emily acknowledges that there is a lot of pressure to look a certain way, and many actresses turn to plastic surgery in an effort to look forever perfect. However, Emily doesn’t plan to go that route. She tells the magazine, “I mean, to each his own, and I know there are those pressures. But I look at my grandmother and think, Wow, I hope I have those happy wrinkles. You see the map of her life on her face, and she’s so beautiful. She wouldn’t be my grandma without those beautiful lines.”

As for how she stays in shape, she concentrates on doing exercises that she enjoys like yoga and Pilates, rather than forcing herself to do something she dislikes, such as swimming. Her role requires martial arts training for fight scenes and she is proud of the bruises she has acquired.

Emily also has a practical approach to eating as well. When she has a craving for something sweet, she heads to the juice bar, “”I find that instead of going for the doughnut at 10 a.m., when I’m always craving something sweet, I go for a really nice juice.”

In addition, rather than trying to stay on a strict diet, which Emily says, ” can make you crave the things that are bad for you even more,” she makes healthy swaps. I.e. quinoa for rice and yams for potatoes. Not that she doesn’t have her share of guilty pleasures. The Ontario born actress craves Canadian specialty poutine. “It’s French fries with gravy and cheddar cheese curds. It sounds nasty, but it’s amazing!”

In addition to eating right and working out, Emily seems to enjoy other outdoorsy activities as well, like fishing with her boyfriend/costar and doing anything that doesn’t require wearing makeup. “But I’m at my most confident when I’m in nature and I don’t have to dress up. When I take off my makeup, that’s my boyfriend’s favorite. And that, to me, is a symbol of a great guy—someone who doesn’t care about all that stuff.”

Emily looks great and is still young enough to eventually change her mind about plastic surgery and Botox.
