Gwyneth Paltrow was a style favorite at the weekend’s Oscar event, wearing a stunning Tom Ford gown complete with avant garde cape. The trendsetter has long been renowned for her red carpet style, as much as for her plastic surgery efforts.
39-year old Gwyneth Paltrow is big on promoting a healthy lifestyle, complete with cleanses and skincare. But she has never really said whether or not plastic surgery is part of her efforts to look good, until recently.
In the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Gwyneth reveals her thoughts on plastic surgery, saying that she doesn’t get Botox injections, but she does do things like laser treatments and facials.
“I don’t like the Botox thing,” she says, however she does do “little things, like lasers.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Lasers treat the superficial layers of skin minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, but the results are very short lived and may damage your skin by burning. Botox is a treatment that is injected into the muscle to ultimately decrease lines and wrinkles, but it works from the inside out- treating the cause of the lines and wrinkles and lasts much longer, nearly 6 months on average. Botox usually does the trick, but if any additional treatments are needed it is usually dermal fillers.”
Gwyneth is looking good and she may want to consider Botox in the future as it offers only minimal plastic surgery recovery.
