Last year, when she appeared in Playboy magazine, Heidi Montag promised readers she’d be having more plastic surgery in the future. It seems the future has arrived for the wannabe pop singer, as she has recently undergone an additional 10 plastic surgeries at the same time. Makemeheal.com thinks that Heidi is officially a plastic surgery addict.
If you’ve been wondering where Heidi and Spencer have been, as they haven’t been posing for the paparazzi in any goofy get-ups lately, it’s been because 23-year old Heidi has been in recovery from multiple plastic surgery procedures.
In a new interview with People magazine, Heidi revealed that she has undergone many more procedures, in addition to her nose job, breast augmentation and lip fillers (See Make Me Heal’s story on Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery) that took place in 2007.
“For the past three years, I’ve thought about what to have done,” the reality star tells PEOPLE. “I’m beyond obsessed.”
On November 20, Heidi underwent an astonishing 10 procedures in one day. They include: nose job revision, chin reduction, mini brow lift, botox in forehead and frown area, fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, liposuction on waist, hips and inner and outer thighs, buttock augmentation and breast augmentation revision.
Heidi says, “Every starlet is getting surgery every other day to keep their looks up. They just don’t talk about it. I wanted to be honest.”
OcBody plastic surgeon Dr John Di Saia says, “It is all a matter of degrees. Many starlets opt for plastic surgery but not anywhere near to the same extent.”
“I guess we’ll see more of her as images surface.”
Board certified Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer says, “Heidi Montag admits to “10 procedures.” However, many of these are minor which it come to plastic surgery – Botox Cosmetic and fat injections really are not on the same level as real surgeries. She has had many procedures and looks good. I think she is correct in saying that many people have procedure but don’t admit it. Good for her for being honest.”
Plastic surgeon Dr Sherrell J Aston says, “Heidi Montag says she is “obsessed” with having cosmetic surgery. For me, that is a person I would be reluctant to operate on. I suspect that her surgeon is ready to put on the brakes. In my practice most “starlets” want to do the least surgery possible and maintain their professional edge.”
Heidi shows no signs of slowing down, a mere nine weeks after her surgeries, she’s already planning her next procedure, telling People, “I’m already planning my next surgery – I’m determined to get bigger ones!”
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr Jennifer Walden says, “Heidi Montag has undergone up to ten more plastic surgery procedures to enhance her appearance. At this point, her quest to look perfect is verging on over the top, and she is starting to look like a plastic Barbie doll.”
Plastic surgeon Dr Anthony Youn weighs in on all of Heidi’s latest surgeries, saying:
“Heidi is a 23 year old young woman who obviously has self-image problems. Because she has no real talent to keep her in the spotlight she appears to be using plastic surgery as a sad attempt to stay on the covers of magazines. While this may work for a week, the results of her surgery stay for life. Here’s what I think about the ten procedures she’s had done:
Revision nose job – unnecessary. It looked fine after the first one. This just creates more scar tissue which could cause problems down the line.
Chin reduction – Why? Her chin looked good before.
Mini brow lift – stupid. Her brows were not droopy.
Botox - unnecessary in a 23 year old. She had no real wrinkles before. Now she has a “Botox brow” and looks like Cruella De Vil.
Fat injections – Not needed. She is too young to need fat grafting to her face. Unless the person has an unusually flat face, I usually consider this in the 30′s at the earliest.
Ear pinning – I’m unsure about this one. It’s reasonable if she had ears that stuck out.
Liposuction – ridiculous – She’s too thin to need lipo. She should talk to Tara Reid.
Buttock augmentation – dumb – Heidi had a very nice derriere before the surgery. She should leave well-enough alone. She risks it becoming lumpy and uneven.
Breast augmentation revision – Probably unnecessary. Unless she had a complication or wanted to downsize, there was probably no reason to do this.
“Overall, a 23 year old woman should not be having this many surgeries. Most, if not all, of her surgeries appear unnecessary and could even potentially make her look worse, not better. Unless there is more to the story than there appears on the surface, I don’t think this was the right thing to do.”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist in Beverly Hills, California, says, “In reference to Heidi Montag’s recent surgeries, her results appear good. But the question is whether or not it was necessary for her to undergo such procedures at the young age of 23. Noticeable signs of aging typically do not show up until a bit later in life, and she may have had these procedures too soon. But overall, she does not look too overdone. Admitting to having procedures performed is strictly up to the individual. It is likely the truth that many individuals undergo surgery and keep things private, but that is nobody’s business but theirs. Undergoing plastic surgery to enhance one’s appearance is a personalized matter that that is to be discussed and publicized only at the discretion of the individual who had the surgery performed.”
While it’s refreshing that Heidi is so honest about her plastic surgery, it does seems a little much for someone her age, who has already established a sexy reputation in Hollywood.
