  • Heidi Montag has been so busy enumerating her plastic surgery procedures and the pain she’s in that others have started talking too.

    Heidi Montag, Plastic Surgery

On the recent series premiere of The Hills, the 23-year old blonde reality star went home to Colorado to show off her new looks to her parents. Her mother was visibly displeased at Heidi’s altered appearance and her desire to look like Barbie.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “ Well, being that Heidi’s parents created her with their combined unique DNA that has produced a person unlike any other, I can see why her mother may not like that she altered it so she could look more like a toy figurine (Barbie).  Heidi’s plastic surgery obsession is revealing of underlying issues with self esteem that I am sure her mother is ultimately concerned about.”

Dr. Paul A. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “In regard’s to Heidi Montag’s mother commenting on her procedures, it is not completely out of the ordinary for a parent to show concern about any procures that were performed.  Having plastic surgery performed is strictly an individual preference.”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia has posted a very humorous podcast, saying, Taking plastic surgery advice from Heidi Montag is like taking your marine biology course in college from SpongeBob Squarepants.”

Another funny person has also weighed in on Heidi’s new look, legendary comedienne and plastic surgery zealot Joan Rivers. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Joan Rivers’ plastic surgery).

Rivers told Us Weekly: “[Heidi] looks fine now, but she could have done it in stages.”

She also joked: “I think she should have started sooner! I think she should have started when she was 13.”

Dr. Salzhauer says, “You have to look at the source. Joan Rivers is the queen of plastic surgery and probably Heidi’s mentor these days.”

Dr. Paul A. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “In regards to Joan Rivers’ comment on Heidi Montag’s surgeries, she is fully entitled to her own opinion.”

Most shockingly, despite undergoing 10 procedures at once and saying she is done with plastic surgery (See Make Me Heal’s story on Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery limit), it seems that Heidi has once again changed her mind and is planning more surgery.

According to an interview with Spencer Pratt, Heidi’s hubbie, Life & Style Magazine reports that Heidi has scheduled yet another breast enlargement and frequently gets lip augmentations.

“I try to stop her,” Spencer tells Life & Style. “She wants her doctor to come over once a week to plump up her lips. I keep telling her that they’re big enough and that she doesn’t need it.”

So what put her over the edge? Spencer tells Life & Style about an off-the-cuff remark from Ryan Seacrest during a visit to his LA radio station on April 5 that shattered Heidi’s world. “When Heidi entered the studio, Ryan told her that her breasts didn’t look that big to him,” Spencer, who was standing just a few feet from his wife at the time, says. Although Ryan’s comment was clearly meant to compliment Heidi and calm any preshow jitters she may have had before her early morning interview, his words took on a twisted meaning in her mind. “She was taken aback,” Spencer says. “She came home in shock.”

If Heidi does put her body through another breast implant procedure, she is looking at doing her body further irreversible damage.

Dr. Salzhauer explains, “ Heidi is treading a fine line if she is going to have another breast surgery.  Her skin will soon become extremely thin which is irreversible, her skin’s elasticity will deteriorate if it hasn’t started to already from the extra weight of the implants, and she is going to be creating even more scar tissue which brings it’s own set of aesthetic complications.”

Heidi should really consider seeking a therapist rather than a plastic surgeon the next time she feels like visiting a doctor’s office.
