Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are back together, which means the dynamic duo are back to talking about Heidi’s plastic surgery. As the couple allegedly face bankruptcy, Speidi says they regret spending so much money on plastic surgery.
A year ago, then 23-year old Heidi underwent: nose job revision, chin reduction, mini brow lift, botox in forehead and frown area, fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, liposuction on waist, hips and inner and outer thighs, buttock augmentation and breast augmentation revision. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery). All of her plastic surgery procedures must have cost a tidy bundle, not to mention all the money she spent on aftercare.
Now Heidi and 27-year old Spencer are claiming that they are facing bankruptcy. According to the Daily Mail, the couple splurged on crystals, luxury cars, Heidi’s plastic surgery and failed pop album, say they owe close to $2 million in taxes.
Heidi has expressed regret over plastic surgery in the past, but now that she is living with her in-laws, she says that the amount she spent on plastic surgery was really too much.
“I spent thousands on the procedures and after-care,” she says. “I had private nurses coming twice a day for two months for treatments and bandage chances. Each time they came it cost $2000.”
“I wish I didn’t waste so much money on it.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It is very rare for patients to regret having spent money on cosmetic surgery. Most patients; however, do not spend near what I’m sure Mrs. Montag has spent on her multiple plastic surgeries. Most patients view their cosmetic surgery as an investment- the best investment. What else can you invest your money in that boosts your self confidence, makes you smile every time you look in the mirror and makes you look more amazing?!”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “In regards to Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spending money on aftercare nurses, having an aftercare nurse or another individual to care for you after plastic surgery is mandatory for the first 24 hours, but a personal choice following that time period.”
The troubled couple has admitted to faking their divorce, and are now back together, claiming to live in a guesthouse at Pratt’s parents’ home after struggling to pay the rent on their $35,000-a-month Malibu mansion.
Spencer says the pair thought their fame and fortune from The Hills would last longer than it did, saying, “We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part.”
“In hindsight, we shouldn’t have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved.”
“We did this to ourselves and feel like idiots.”
Hindsight is 20/20 and Makemeheal.com looks forward to seeing the duo’s next money-making scheme.
