Helen Mirren may be in her sunset years, but you’d never know it. The 69-year old British actress has been having a resurgence in popularity the last few years, becoming known as one of the world’s most attractive women, giving crazy quotes and seemingly doing a lot more films in recent years. And apparently she’s not done yet. Perhaps in a bid to stay on top, Helen is said to be considering having plastic surgery “very soon.”
Although Helen Mirren’s recent popularity has been attributed to her personality and youthful outlook, many believe that Helen has already spent some time under the knife, including plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn.
On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Youn writes, ” Helen Mirren is 66 and looks fabulous. She has SO had a facelift! It is extremely unusual for a woman her age to have a jawline as tight as she does. That’s the sign of a great facelift.”
However, Helen has never actually admitting to a facelift or any other procedure, limiting her opinion to plastic surgery to discussing other people and saying that young people have no need for any cosmetic procedures.
A few years back, Helen talked to InStyle magazin saying, “The only thing I don’t like on young people is plastic surgery.” The ‘State of Play’ actress had previously defended the right to have cosmetic surgery, saying she understood why people change their appearance. “You go, I don’t want to look at that face anymore and I understand completely, I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want to make themselves feel happy.” adding that she doesn’t understand why younger women would want to ruin the “purity” of the bodies Purchase Retin-A .
In other interviews, Helen has said that she would consider plastic surgery as long as her results didn’t make her look “ridiculous.”
She told Woman’s Own: “I think about all those women you see with duck or fish lips and you don’t ever want to look like that. But I wouldn’t rule it out. People have the freedom to do what makes them happy.
“It’s sad when people destroy their faces with too much work but there are also many people who have had success with cosmetic surgery. If you can look in the mirror and feel good about yourself, even when you have these ridiculous lips, why not?”
However, new rumors indicate that Helen has either changed her mind about going for some nips and tucks herself or she is going back for more—depending on which stories you believe.
In another recent interview, The Daily Express quotes Helen as revealing that she occasionally does Pilates to stay in shape and may be plotting to go under the knife in the very near future.
“I don’t do much of anything,” she said.
“I’ve done about three Pilates classes, and it was great. I should do more.”
And when asked about whether she would be having plastic surgery to combat aging, she answered, “Very soon, I think. Very, very soon. Watch out!”
