Bette Midler still looks divine at 68, but it seems like despite her attempt to engage with new fans on social media, she is still holding on to the past by denying plastic surgery.
Bette Midler took to Twitter back in October to question the world’s fascination with celebrity plastic surgery and also plug one of her favorite causes: the environment.
“I wish America would spend even half as much time complaining about plastics in our oceans as we do about actresses’ plastic surgery,” she tweeted Oct. 22, via The Enquirer.
Bette has usually credited her continued appearance of youth to diet and exercise, but plastic surgery expert Dr. Anthony Youn tells the Enquirer differently.
To achieve her smooth, flawless and wrinkle-free complexion, Bette may have undergone some major plastic surgery procedures like a brow lift and paired it with less invasive treatments for a more natural look.
“Bette looks like she’s had divine plastic surgery!” Dr. Youn, who has not treated the actress, told The ENQUIRER.
“Her nose looks shorter and thinner, possibly due to a rhinoplasty (nose job).
“Her eyebrows are elevated dramatically, a possible consequence of an endoscopic brow lift combined with judicious injections of Botox.”
“Her cheeks look quite plump, consistent with fat injections. I also suspect that she’s had some fantastic treatments to refine her skin, including a controlled depth chemical peel.”
This isn’t the first time that Dr. Youn has suspected Bette of plastic surgery. Back in 2012, the doctor told RadarOnline that he thought the actress and singer had gotten a little carried away with Botox.
“The Divine Miss M appears to be trying to look as young as her look-a-like daughter,” celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, who has not treated the then 66-year-old actress, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.
“Her forehead is so smooth it appears to have the waxy sheen of supermarket fruit. This could be possibly due to overdone Botox injections. I also suspect that she’s had injections of filler into her cheeks.
“I must hand it to her though, she definitely doesn’t look like most 66-year-olds!” the esteemed surgeon told Radar.
Bette Midler recently came under fire for saying a number of unkind things about tiny sexy pop sensation Ariana Grande to The Telegraph, including “You don’t have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead.”
The pop star responded with class, tweeting: “Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! not sure where that Bette went but i want that sexy mermaid back!!! always a fan no matter what my love.”
To which Bette apologized with ”About my screed on @arianagrande, all I can say is, “Spoken like a reformed old whore!” and “’Yes, it’s my birthday! And my birthday wish is that @ArianaGrande forgives me soon and let’s me direct her next video…”.
Bette recently released her first album in years, It’s The Girls, a tribute to the female singers that have influenced her work over the years.none
