  • Britney Spears may be doing it again. According to some reports, the pop princess is planning on a new look for the new year and plastic surgery is said to be in the works.

31-year old Britney Spears is apparently planning to spend in the neighborhood of $150,000 on a plastic surgery total body makeover, complete with blepharoplasty and liposuction.

A source reported to National Enquirer, print edition January 14, 2013, “Britney Spears is rolling in the new year with a new look . . . planning a full-body overhall which will include a strict diet and exercise program along with extensive plastic surgery to her body and face.” I understand proper diet and exercise, but it sounds like she’s trying to one-up Simon Cowell for beauty treatments! Apparently, “she’s unhappy when she sees photos of herself with a very obvious triple chin, and she complains she has fat on her back and stomach.”

The source says that Britney will undergo, “having excess eyelid skin removed, and a possible brow lift as well as Botox injections around her mouth, forehead, and crows feet, lip-plumping injections, and a chemical peel.”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia says, “While I realize that PR is a science of extremes, I hope that there is not too much truth to this article. This of course makes me sound like a crazy plastic surgeon, but of course there is method to my madness.”

“Plastic surgery can be a good thing, but when taken to extremes it is more likely to turn out poorly. It sounds by the tones of this report that Britney is planning extreme. Trying to “one up” a friend who has reportedly had a lot of plastic surgery sounds like an invitation to the “Too Much Hurts” category. I would like Britney to stay clear of it by having a carefully thought out modicum of plastic surgery if any.”

“This type of philosophy makes a surgeon less of the green stuff, but makes the patient look better over the long term. Being ethical has cost Dr D in the personal rewards department, but I do not make “freaks.””

Before undergoing plastic surgery, Britney could consider trying a new stylist, with a little less makeup and better hair extensions.
