RadarOnline reports that in the three months since Joan Rivers tragically passed away, daughter Melissa Rivers is picking up. The outspoken funny lady was well known for her love of plastic surgery, something she seems to have passed on to Melissa.
At a recent appearance at the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards at Wynn Las Vegas, Melissa appeared to have a tighter face and fuller cheeks, indicating that she recently had some sort of filler placed.
Most likely, Melissa is keeping up with her regular schedule of Botox injections and fillers. Having a newly tight look means that the injections probably took place recently and so are still working well rather than having had relaxed into a more natural-looking state.
In the past, it is suspected that has had at least one nose job, cheek augmentation and possible browlift. Given her age, she has likely also used dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm as well as Botox. So her newly tight appearance is due to recent fillers being placed in her cheeks and nasolabial folds between mouth and nose and possibly some Botox around her eyes to eliminate wrinkles as well as provide a little lift.
46-year old Melissa has been busy mourning her mother, making arrangements and sharing photos of herself on Twitter, along with memories of her mother.
If Melissa has recently spent time under the knife, then mama Joan would like be proud. The legendary actress revealed in past interviews that she actively encourage Melissa to undergo her first plastic surgery procedures, including having a nose job in her late teens.
By the time of her passing, Joan had undergone over 700 plastic surgery procedures including facelifts, a brow lift, cheek lift, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, and breast augmentation, in addition to other procedures.
Joan was proud of her time under the knife, turning them into fodder for her comedy and telling Anderson Cooper in 2012, “Every weekend I just go in and I do something new. I get a tenth one free. It’s a little like coffee, you just keep going.”
After 81-year old Joan passed away unexpectedly earlier in the year, her celebrity costars and marks used social media to express their grief.
Via The Daily Mail, Kelly wrote, “I’m completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan. Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her.”
“Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I’m sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her.”
Lena Dunham, a frequent target of Joan’s red carpet remarks, wrote, “Watching Joan Rivers do standup at age 81 was incredible: athletic, jaw-dropping, terrifying, essential. It never stopped. Neither will she. I told Maron I’d have a zinger when Joan died. But I didn’t think she ever would. She felt eternal, and anyway, zingers are her territory.”
“That being said, Joan is gone but a piece of her lives on: her nose, because it is made of polyurethane.”none
