Simon Cowell’s goal is to make his new talent show X-Factor even bigger than American Idol. But bigger and more isn’t always better when it comes to plastic surgery, even Simon’s favorite treatment: Botox.
In the past, 51-year old Simon Cowell has admitted to using Botox to improve his appearance (See Make Me Heal’s story on Simon Cowell’s Botox). He previously had needed some extra plastic surgery recovery time after he appeared with bruises around his eyes.
This time, he looks like a wax figure of himself, as his face barely moved during a recent television interview.
Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, ”In the most recent picture, Simon appears to have Botox and filers. While they have smoothed his face, it does give him an unnatural appearance. This goes back to my advice that while a little may be good, a lot may not be better.”
Simon clearly likes to be wrinkle-free, and he may want to consider a more permanent solution to the creases and bags around his eyes, such as a blepharoplasty. Eyelid surgery would help eradicate Simon’s wrinkles, and could also be used with Botox in other areas of his face, such as his forehead and the space between the eyebrows.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Simon Cowell does not appear to have had any invasive cosmetic surgery; however, he certainly maintains his wrinkle free forehead with regular Botox treatments. Soon he should consider a Blepharoplasty or eyelid lift because his eyebrows and eyelids are starting to sag even with the Botox injections.”
With or without Botox, Simon has managed to gain a following as the man viewers love to hate, whatever show he is pushing.
