Tatum O’Neal is no stranger to the craziness of Hollywood. As a child, she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar and as an adult, she has been estranged from her actor father, Ryan O’Neal. Now it seems that Tatum has succumbed to yet another Hollywood trend: plastic surgery.
On the set of Squirrels to the Nuts, an upcoming film that also stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, Tatum O’Neal is looking less like herself and more like the full-faced Renee Zellweger.
Although Tatum usually has very defined bone structure, with a clear jawline and strong cheekbones, on the set she looked very full-faced, which is a sign of plastic surgery being at work, including dermal fillers, chemical peels and Botox.
While weight gain could be responsible for the chipmunk-like appearance of Tatum’s cheeks, given that her figure still looks slim, plastic surgery is probably at work.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn explains to RadarOnline that the reason for Tatum’s new look is probably fat injections over the years, which can increase greatly with weight gain.
As her skin is very smooth and taut for a 49-year old, Dr. Youn also suspects that the actress has been using Botox and a series of chemical peels as well.
In the past, Tatum has struggled with addiction problems and entered a treatment facility last summer. Overusing drugs and alcohol can wreak havoc on the skin, causing dehydration and early onset of wrinkles and signs of aging. It is possible that Tatum turned to plastic surgery to help her recover some semblance of youth.
Another possibility given that Tatum was on the set of a film when the photos were snapped is that she is wearing makeup and prosthetics that give her face a fuller appearance, although she has not actually changed.
Because actresses frequently wear great quantities of makeup for their various roles, they usually indulge in excellent skincare routines offset. Jennifer Aniston extols the virtues of drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and wrinkle-free, while actress Kate Blanchett uses SK II to retain her youthful glow and has been a spokesperson for the elite brand for many years.
Plastic surgery treatments like Botox, fillers, chemical peels, laser treatments and other noninvasive options can also help to both prevent and treat many signs of aging, from lines in the forehead to a loss of volume in the face to signs of sun damage, such as brow spots. However, these procedures work best and look the most natural when used in small doses over time. If one has an over zealous doctor or uses them too frequently, it is very easy to look odd, rather than refreshed.
Squirrels to the Nuts is directed by Peter Bogdanovich and stars a vast of array of celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Imogen Poots, Owen Wilson, and Lucy Punch.none
