Jane Seymour may still look great at a bikini at the age of 62, but her great body doesn’t come easily. In a recent interview, Jane shared that along with a little plastic surgery, her body is also the result of really hard work.
Franklin and Bash star Jane Seymour has openly admitted to undergoing plastic surgery, a breast implant procedure to replace “what the kids ate.” However, that doesn’t mean that she is ready to anything and everything to stay looking good. And Botox is definitely off the table.
Jane tell’s Entertainment Tonight’s Mary Hart that she is not at all a fan of Botox after not liking the results.
“I tried Botox once — hated it,” said Seymour. “It was just the worst thing ever.”
Rather than go back under the knife for body contouring procedures or try other injectables to help eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, Jane relies on a strict regimen of good old fashioned diet and exercise to stay fit.
In addition, Jane says that she doesn’t come by her enviable body genetically. In fact, she says that the women in family are rather on the plus size, so she has to work all the harder to maintain her fabulous figure.
“I keep reading in the papers, ‘Oh, she’s genetically that way and her parents and genetic family are that way.’ No, I mean we are talking very large people [in my family],” said Jane. “My mother, who was an amazing woman, was very large and she was always on the ‘tomorrow’ diet.”
Jane seems to be going against the genetic grain quite nicely. She’s also going against the grain in Hollywood and actually embracing her age and wrinkles.
While other female stars Jane’s age have bemoaned the lack of good roles for women over 40 and complained that all the good roles go to younger, fitter starlets, Jane is looking forward to her next role. According to Jane she is about to film a role in which she plays a woman her age, wrinkles and all.
“I’m just starting a movie in which I’m playing a woman who is my age and I’m excited about it,” said Seymour. “I’m excited about the fact that they can sidelight me and get all the wrinkles … I earned them.”
In the past, Jane has admitted to undergoing breast implants after the birth of her child and also eyelid surgery at the suggestion of photographers.
“It was 20 years ago. I’d breastfed my first two children and things weren’t what they had been. I’d never had a big bust – I always say they had to make smaller implants just for me, but I wanted the shape back … clothes fit and look better. It was a good move.”
“Top and bottom [of her eyes], years ago. I was asked by photographers if I’d consider getting them done because they spent so much time touching up pictures. It wasn’t a big deal. I went out for lunch the day after surgery,” Jane explained.
Jane looks great, wrinkles and all!
