Make Me Heal has long maintained that John Travolta’s hair is in fact a toupee. Despite the actor’s repeated denial of this fact, it seems that Travolta is finally coming to terms with his thinning reality.
Now, as Travolta prepares for a new movie role, he’s going in the raw and has taken the rug is off. Make Me Heal finally has an opportunity to see the real Travolta and confirm that our suspicions of a hair system were indeed correct.
Make Me Heal has been following John Travolta’s hair pieces through his experiments with both long and short versions at both the 2007 and 2008 Oscar Award ceremonies (see related stories on Travolta’s Hair Piece and John Travolta’s Hair Toupee At The Oscars).
As recently as the 2008 Oscars, plastic surgeon Dr. Paul S. Nassif told Make Me Heal “John Travolta doesn’t look like he has had a hair transplant. It does look like he is wearing some sort of hairpiece. Unfortunately, although it’s likely an expensive system and requires a lot of maintenance, it’s not doing its job if the world can still see it as a piece and not hair.”
Without the rug, it is easy to see John Travolta’s hair loss pattern. The hair starts thinning at the crown and it looks like the hair has receded to the middle of his scalp.
Even with the goofy mustache he is sporting in the picture, Make Me Heal still feels the actor looks significantly better without the toupee, much more real and not fake.
Bald is beautiful.
