In a new interview, Julianne Moore reiterates her stance on cosmetic surgery, saying no.
50-year old Julianne Moore looks terrific for any age, let alone a woman entering her sixth decade. But the beautiful redhead says that plastic surgery isn’t how she enhances her looks and that she has no interest in even the easiest of plastic surgery recovery experiences.
In an interview featured in the July/August issue of Health, Julianne says she will never have plastic surgery to look younger (See Make Me Heal’s story on Julianne Moore’s opinion on plastic surgery).
“My feeling is live and let live. Some of those procedures that make you look younger, I don’t know that they really made anybody look younger,” the Crazy, Stupid, Love actress says. “I think most of the time they make you look like you’ve had something done to your face.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Plastic surgery does have the ability to make you look younger. Procedures that restore lost volume, for instance to the face, breasts and behind, can give you a more youthful appearance. “Full and perky” are words associated with youth. Botox and dermal fillers, when performed correctly, can reduced the appearance of wrinkles and lines and can create a more rejuvenated look to the face.”
Julianne likely stays out of the sun to maintain her pale skin, without fear of freckles, which also helps her to look so good without even a subtle Botox injection.
