Juliette Binoche is an internationally known actress. And she says it is her natural looks and talent that have gotten her so far, not plastic surgery.
46-year old Juliette Binoche says that American actresses rely too much on plastic surgery, according to the In Your Face blog. According to the blog, Juliette says American women are obsessed with looking younger and having larger breasts.
The Academy Award winning actress says that Botox actually makes women look older and shows “the fear of aging on their faces.”
In contrast, she claims French women are much more easygoing about aging.
“In France, beauty is much more subtle – and there is a greater acceptance of age,” she said. “We think it’s more about looking after yourself than going down the artificial route.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Any celebrity, whether American or foreign, faces a great deal of pressure over their appearance. We do have an abundance of plastic surgeons here in the U.S. making it easy to change or improve their appearance through plastic surgery. For the most part, I don’t think American actresses rely on plastic surgery, but see it as a tool in enhancing their careers.”
Juliette’s views of plastic surgery seem extreme, especially considering that most Botox is so well done that many never suspect a thing.
