  • Funny man Kevin James was a big hit with audiences in his new flick Paul Blart: Mall Cop. But would the former King of Queens look as good without his hair?

    Kevin James, Hair Transplant

Best known for his role on the sitcom The King of Queens, 43-year old Kevin James is an obvious victim of hair loss. He often appears with his head covered, with one hat or another and keeps his hair short to avoid the dreaded “comb-over.” While these attempts to cover his baldness may make people think that the chubby star is just beginning to lose his hair, hair loss restoration expert Alan J. Bauman wasn’t fooled.

Dr. Bauman tells Make Me Heal, “Kevin James has worn a hairpiece for years which couldn’t hide the loss in the temporal points (hairline that makes up the side of the forehead).”

“He’s always got a hat on, too, or a hide-the-hairpiece Caesar cut. You can see in his side-view photos from Mall Cop, that he has lost his temporal points due to male pattern hair loss.”

“Even if he was to continue to use a hairpiece, a small transplant in the temporal points, would go a long way in looking more natural because it gives a more natural ‘frame of the face’ than just the hairpiece up top. This kind of transplantation is a small session of just several hundred grafts containing mostly single follicles. The temporal point is the area most overlooked by hair transplant surgeons and one of the most difficult areas to design and execute in order to achieve naturalness.”

Make Me Heal is surprised by the success of Mall Cop, but enjoys seeing a leading man that isn’t physically perfect.

Well, like a number of actors he has a fake name, since he was born Kevin George Knipfing.

So why should anyone be shocked that he has fake hair?

At least people like Chris Rock admit openly to their “new” teeth and such. Be open and honest. It is a lot better to be up front about such things then to have people staring and whispering. But stars never seem to get that. They want to be young forever and so the many facelifts, cosmetics, reconstruction and the rest all must somehow boost their egos. Seems like such a waste.

Personally, if I were to be asked, I would suggest to Mr. James that he try to lose a few pounds rather than focus on fake hair. He is funny, talented and a great actor / comedian. Maybe a little affirmation would get him to understand that he does not have to hide baldness to be appreciated by his audiences.

I agree that fake hair isn’t a shock but there are some things that just don’t need to be told.
If Kevin James isn’t so eager to tell the world, he obviously prefers not to share such information. Personally I think that it looks good, on many occasions and if he has the money, who are we to say it’s wrong.
The words “hide” and “cover” seem negative but lets not forget the crux of his situation, “victim” to male-pattern baldness, he like all others try to hide those aspects of their body that disappoint them on a personal level.

No way Kevin James has Transplants. It only works for 10% of people. He wears a hair system his older ones were too thick new one is thinner ( less hair) and foward where on KOQ show he wore it back. People in TV don’t know u need to use Hair Systems that look almost bald because in photos or TV they look 5 tines thicker that’s why so many look bad. Bad like Nicholas Cage, Joe Pesci, and 2 guys on ESPN ( u pick them now). Good ones go unnoticed like Mathew Mc but think he has some transplants. Problem Dr don’t tell you when your young fill in thin areas at 30 then at 50 ur totally bald and you run out of doner hair. ( if u have 50,000 ( back of head) left how do you pay (100,000) in debt ( top, bald area). So u shave ur whole head and have to wear a wig to cover the scars. I know I have a salon 1300 men only for hair loss. And whosale to HCM and over 10,000 units or systems per month. Hair changes one thing. Makes a bald average looking guy good looking the 10% top. Plus takes 10 years off. Just has bad rap from all bad ones we notice. Today their are systems I can only compare to a contact for eyes. Bald Sucks. Kevin is rockin a new nice piece. And it made him drop 50 LBS. It’s the hair not the gym. Out!

How important is hair!!!!!!!! TELL ME LAST BALD PRESIDENT of the USA????? Sick but true. I do every new client free if u got good products they sell themselves. But business men u can only do this with a client you can have long term residule sales. Don’t give away a plasma unless they need a new one every 2 months. LOL

Importance of the hair depends on one’s perception. We can say to ourselves that it’s not important that we can live a life without it, though to others hair helps them to be more confident and it may increase their personality.

There’s nothing wrong with concealing their balding hairs if that’s what they want. We cannot tell them to undergo a hair transplant if they really don’t want.

I was watching the episode of King of Queens where Kevin was faking a knee injury. He then was jumping in a trampoline park playing basketball. Carrie then finds out and she tells him to keep jumping higher. He then hits his head, he falls and his back hair flips up like the old man in Frozen. My mom and I kept going back to see it and we laughed so hard.

Hair, bald a weave. I like Kevin James. He looks good. People who leave comments with bad language should be ashamed of themselves. You’re just jealous and no self-esteem. Shame on you.
