Last year, Kim Basinger emerged from a medical building, trying to hide her face with a blanket. Looking like she had some sort of allergic reaction, Kim was likely trying to hide the results of plastic surgery from the lens of paparazzi.
58-year old Kim Basinger has long been thought to use plastic surgery to help her stay youthful looking. However, she may have gone a little overboard with fillers, like Juvederm, last year as her face appeared excessively full and puffy and completely unnatural.
Dr. Jonathan Hall is one of the top plastic surgeons in Boston, who is know for his natural appearing results. Dr. Hall, who has not treated Kim Basinger, says, “Always sad to see a volume deformity like this.”
“Temporary swelling from fillers is usually down by the third day and should be gone by 2-4 weeks. If she has had hyaluronic acid fillers overdone, then they could be reversed quickly with injection of an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Might be a chronic inflammatory condition called a granulomatous reaction, which can happen 8-9 months after Sculptra and needs to be treated with periodic injections of a dilute steroid. Fat injections could have been overdone and if this is more than just temporary swelling that might resolve with time, and then it is going to be difficult to treat. Can sometimes be removed with small liposuction cannulas.”
Hopefully, some Juvederm recovery or filler recovery has been done and Kim is back to looking glam.
