  • It looks like Makemeheal.com isn’t the only one who thinks Heidi Montag has gone overboard with her recent plastic surgery makeover. It seems co-star Lo Bosworth also feels the blond Barbie overdid it.

23-year old Heidi Montag recently underwent an astounding 10 procedures in 10 hours (See Make Me Heal’s story on Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery), including nose job revision, chin reduction, mini brow lift, botox in forehead and frown area, fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips, neck liposuctionhttp://kona.kontera.com/javascript/lib/imgs/grey_loader.gif, ears pinned back, liposuction on waist, hips and inner and outer thighs, buttock augmentation and breast augmentation revision. While Heidi’s plastic surgeon, Dr Frank Ryan,(See Make Me Heal’s interview with Dr Frank) has defended his decision to perform so much work all at once on someone so young, many have spoken out about Heidi’s recent procedures. One of her detractors, in addition to Make Me Heal’s panel of experts, is her Hills co-star Lo Bosworth.

    Lo Bosworth, Plastic Surgery

In a recent interview, when asked about Heidi’s new look 23-year old Lo Bosworth expressed concern about the message Heidi is sending to young girls.

Lo told People, “I hope that girls don’t read the article, look at the decisions that Heidi made, and think that’s normal.”

In addition, Lo refuted Heidi’s claim that “Every starlet is getting surgery every other day to keep their looks up. They just don’t talk about it. I wanted to be honest.”

Lo says that is “just not true.”

“I would never want young girls to read that and think it’s the standard that they need to be measured by.”

While Lo disagrees with Heidi’s decision, she acknowledges that plastic surgery can be beneficial and isn’t it against it. In fact, she is already considering Botox for when she begins to signs of aging.

“If some wrinkles come across my face, sure, I’ll get a little Botox, it’s not a big deal,” Bosworth told People.

“I think you should do what you want to do to take care of yourself. I just hope that the girls who look up to us and watch us don’t look at what Heidi did as the only way to be successful and beautiful.”

Lo and her bff Lauren Conrad (See Make Me Heal’s story on Lauren Conrad’s plastic surgery), appear to be the only actresses on The Hills who have not yet been under the knife.

Make Me Heal thinks that Lo has a very healthy and confident outlook for such a young woman and hope it continues.

I do marketing for plastic surgeons, so I have no problem with people wanting a little nip and tuck here and there. But I think Dr. Frank Ryan has an ethical duty to acknowledge that Heidi Montag may have Body Dysmorphic Disorder and that a person with a mental obsession isn’t fit to have so much cosmetic surgery. Doctors need to stop trying to flaunt themselves on TV and face their ethical obligations as a medical professional first.

Lo Bosworth had a nose job. Go back to season 1 and look at her original nose. All those celebrities seem to forget they had a nose job when criticizing other celebrities for their plastic surgery. (Elisabeth Hasselbeck also forgot about her nose job when criticizing Heidi.)
