  • You may not know Melissa Leo by name, but you’ve probably seen her face in a movie or two and you’ll know her now, as she has been nominated for a Best Leading Actress for her role in Frozen River. Unlike other actresses in her category, Melissa’s face has been untouched by plastic surgery.

48-year old Melissa Leo is very attractive for her age, but she doesn’t look to have had any cosmetic surgery procedures and her age is beginning to show. Make Me Heal thinks the actress could benefit from some plastic surgery in the future, especially a facelift and eyelid surgery.

    Melissa Leo, Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrell J. Aston tells Make Me Heal, “Melissa Leo is 48 years old and would benefit tremendously from aesthetic facial surgery. Her upper eyelids are quite heavy and she has excess skin and some fat on her lowers. There is significant midface and jawline laxity as well as vertical platysma muscle bands on her neck under the chin.”

“She is attractive and has good bone structure so she would get an excellent result with a facelift that tightens the underlying foundation and does not stretch the skin. Her forehead is already high enough so I would not recommend a forehead lift but a little Botox would be good for the frown lines between the eyebrows. The muscles the cause the frown lines could also be weakened at the time of the blepharoplasty.”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California also noted the sagginess in Melissa’s face and agrees that she would benefit from overall facial surgery.

Dr. Nassif says, “It looks as if Melissa Leo has had nothing done. But she could benefit from having full face surgery including a browlift, upper and lower eyelid lifts and a facelift.”

For the upcoming awards show, Melissa wouldn’t have time to recover from invasive plastic surgery, so he offers a more short-term fix.

He says, “Botox can make a difference and can be done now, especially between her brows. She might also consider a lip filler as well as some microdermabrasion.”

Make Me Heal looks forward to seeing Melissa Leo on the red carpet and in the many films she has coming out later this year.
