There seems to be a rash of television show hosts leaving their long time positions and Nancy O’Dell is the latest report. Nancy has been a red carpet regular on Access Hollywood for 13 years and Make Me Heal credits plastic surgery for her camera-ready appearance.
At 43 years old Nancy O’Dell has become nearly as well known in the entertainment world as the celebrities she interviews nightly, both on and off the red carpet. But now she has announced her departure from Access Hollywood, after 13 years and two years before her contract expires, according to People Magazine.
“O’Dell appreciates NBC‘s cooperation as she begins this next chapter in her career,” her rep said in a statement yesterday.
“Even though she will be leaving for a new opportunity, this decision is based totally on Nancy’s desire to take her career to the next level and is completely amicable. She will continue on with projects as a broadcast entertainment journalist.”
People reports that Nancy is leaving because she has become increasingly disturbed by the way the show has become increasingly sensationalized.
“She has spent a lot of years building respect in the entertainment community and celebrities trust her,” a source told People. “She’s known as the nice and classy girl. She values that.”
Along the way, it seems as if Nancy has picked up some of the habits of celebrities, including plastic surgery.
Some photos of Nancy reveal a preternaturally full face, which is likely an indicator of fillers like Restylane and Juvederm or even possible fat grafting. She may also use laser treatments like Fraxel as well as the popular anti-wrinkle treatment, Botox or Dysport. In addition, Nancy may have had a nose job early in her career.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “Nancy O’Dell may have had rhinoplasty in the past. But if that was the case, the surgeon did a nice job and it does not appear overdone. She may have had Botox and filers as well. Overall, Nancy’s appearance is very natural and she looks great.”
Nancy is set to host her last show this week and will also anchor the Rose Bowl for NBC. Make Me Heal wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
