  • Domestic goddess and cookbook author Nigella Lawson has legions of fans, thanks to her beauty, including lustrous locks of hair. But the television cooking show host appeared to be losing some of her hair on a recent shopping trip in London.

51-year old Nigella Lawson looks stunning for her age and even better with the magic of television. But recently the popular British television star was spotted looking less than camera ready by the Daily Mail tabloid. With matted down hair that revealed a view of her scalp, Nigella may be exhibiting signs of hair loss.

Hair loss in women can be a very common problem, a dermatologist told the Daily Mail.

“The female equivalent of male pattern baldness manifests itself much later in life.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It could be that Nigella Lawson is just having a bad hair day or perhaps is experiencing some over styling that is causing her hair to look thin and patchy. Diet and stresses (both physical and emotional) are huge factors in a person’s healthy appearance- including their hair.”

Next time Nigella appears on television, a clever stylist will likely pump up the volume of Nigella’s hair, helping it to appear full and restored. But in the meantime, she may also want to start using a hair loss prevention treatment as well.
