Apparently the anti-plastic surgery actress movement has gone global, as Nollywood Star Omotola Jolade Ekeinde has said she won’t go under the knife anytime soon.
35-year old Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is Africa’s best known actress and recently made her US television debut on the Vh-1 series Hit the Floor. In addition to acting, Omotola is also an active humanitarian and was recently recognized for her efforts by being included on Time magazine’s list of influential people, alongside Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton.
While Omotola keeps busy with various projects, one thing you won’t find her doing is plastic surgery. Despite tabloid reports of the beautiful actress using fillers to stay forever young, Omotola denies the claims, saying her beauty and stunning figure is the result of great genes, not a great doctor.
As the mother of four children, Omotola says, “I have never done any surgery or implant. It’s just me being extremely careful and conscious of my body, job and everything. Naturally, as a human being, sometimes I get it perfectly right, sometimes, the body just does what it wants to do. I just keep trying.”
So how does she stay looking so good?
According to Omotola, “there is no major secret. That’s the truth. Most of them were inherited. I inherited the good stuff, so also the bad one. If you see my mom’s picture, she actually looked like a young girl. Till she passed on, we used to call her forever young, even before that song came out.”
“My mom had a teenager look, even when she was almost 50. She was a very hippy and curvy woman. That, she passed on to me with vengeance. That’s why it has been a very big struggle for me to stay as slim as my job requires,” Omotola added.
