Cameron Diaz is no stranger to plastic surgery, openly admitting to undergoing numerous nose jobs. But the British Daily Mail is reporting that Cameron is now the newest member of “The Pillow Face Club.”
38-year old Cameron Diaz has openly admitted to getting numerous nose jobs to repair broken noses (she’s reportedly had her nose broken four times) (See Make Me Heal’s story on Cameron Diaz’s nose job). But more recently, Cameron Diaz has been looking puffy in the face, but as svelte as ever in the rest of her body.
Many women perceive a full face to be a sign of youthfulness and go overboard with dermal injectables. The result is a bobbled head look, with a full face on a skinny body. Cameron is riding on the new trend of the “noninvasive facelift” which replaces volume lost with youth with either fat grafts or dermal fillers like Scultpra. Although facial fillers can be of great help with eliminating wrinkles, when over used, they can create a bloated puffy appearance, with shrunken eyes and chipmunk cheeks.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “A non surgical facelift involves using non surgical treatments such as fillers, botox and chemical peels to tighten the skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and make the patient look younger and more youthful. It does not appear that Cameron Diaz has undergone a non surgical facelift. Her cheeks are very swollen, but this could be caused from weight gain or other non surgical conditions.”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California says, “A non-surgical facelift may refer to Thermage treatment. Therrmage is a non-invasive procedure that tightens the skin. Cameron Diaz does not appear to have had any type of facelift, but it is possible she had Thermage at one point.”
Makemeheal.com hopes that Cameron is simply suffering an allergic reaction and hasn’t fallen prey to Hollywood’s demand for youth at any cost.
