Noomi Rapace originated the screen version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the original European production. But she has become known to American audiences for her roles in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Prometheus. As American audiences get to know her, they have also noted her very prominent cheekbones, which have led to rumors of a plastic surgery cheek augmentation.
32-year old Noomi Rapace has noticeably sharp cheekbones, often accompanied by very full cheeks. While movie watchers suspect cheek implants, more likely the fluctuation in size is caused by fillers, which require very little injectable filler recovery.
Dr. Jonathan Hall is one of the top plastic surgeons in Boston, who is know for his natural appearing results. Dr. Hall, who has not treated Noomi Rapace, says, “Noomi is beautiful. But high cheekbones typically do not fluctuate with weight. Could be cheek implants, but with the advent of hyaluronic acid fillers like Perlane and Juvederm, and other options such as fat grafting, I don’t find myself doing many cheek implants any more. So she could have had a little help.”
Whether or not Noomi comes by her cheeks naturally or with help from plastic surgery, she is definitely making an impact on audiences thanks to her striking looks and talent.
