British actress Helen Mirren recently announced that she wants to have plastic surgery. But Makemeheal.com suspects that the Oscar-winning actress has already spent time under the knife.
64-year old Helen Mirren says that if she wasn’t in the public eye, she would have gotten a full load of plastic surgery years ago.
“I’d think about it even more if I was in a different profession,” she said. “If I wasn’t on camera I would have had it done years ago.“It’s the full-on for me. Suck it all up, tie it up and then cut it all off!”
While Make Me Heal thinks it admirable that Helen is so open about being a proponent of plastic
surgery, Helen has likely been under the knife. Maybe she just hadn’t gone “full-on,” but rather gotten nips and tucks over the years. (Read Make Me Heal’s full story on Helen Miren’s Facelift).
OcBody plastic surgeon Dr John Di Saia says, “She has already had quite a bit. I’d need to look at her closely.”
New York plastic surgeon Dr Jennifer Walden says, “Helen Mirren looks wonderful for her age; she may have undergone face lift surgery in the past which was well-done and the way a face lift should be done…where no one else can tell!”
Although Helen may have had some procedures, she could still benefit from a few more, such as a breast lift, (second) face lift, neck lift and maybe laser treatments as well. In addition an eye lift on the upper and lower lids could also be beneficial
Board certified New York dermatologist Dr Judith Hellman says, “Helen Mirren has to be careful with plastic surgery. Right now, she looks good for her age. She doesn’t want to end up with an overdone, too tight and expressionless face. She could do a face and especially neck lift with a top notch surgeon, instructing him to go for a ‘natural’ looking result. She could use a breast lift, same as most women who hit 50 and beyond, but once again, if she got some perky, over lifted and overstuffed breasts, they would not look right for her age. The key for her is to find a surgeon with not only good skills, but more importantly, good judgment!”
Plastic surgeon Dr Carmen Kavali says, “Helen Mirren appears to already be taking great care of her skin. I hope she’s conservative with whatever she chooses, because she already looks great! She could use some skin tightening around her jawline and neck, but I wouldn’t jump straight to surgery for her. I would try Refirme or eMatrix laser treatments first.”
Board certified Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer says, “If Helen Mirren were to consider plastic surgery, I would recommend Botox Cosmetic for her glabella and crow’s feet to smooth her skin, upper lid belpharoplasty to open her eyes, and lower face lift to improve her jowling and neck line. She may also consider rhinoplasty to refine her nasal tip.”
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Helen Mirren is the “Queen” of growing older gracefully. She is a beautiful woman, but could use a few rejuvenating procedures to keep her looking her best. A face lift would improve the contours of her face and neck and give her a very smooth and more youthful look. In conjunction, a Blepharoplaty, or eyelid–lift, would get rid of the extra skin that is starting to hide her beautiful eyes and would give her a rejuvenated and rested appearance. Together, these minor cosmetic procedures could make Helen look 10-15 years younger.”
Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif. says, “Helen Mirren looks very natural. Any procedure she wishes to have performed is strictly up to her. At this point, she may benefit from a facelift and a few fillers here and there. A conservative upper blepharoplasty may be a good option for her as well.”
Helen looks great, no matter what age she plays and Make Me Heal looks forward to seeing more of her work in the near future.
