The Academy Awards are over a month away, giving the nominees for Best Actress plenty of time to primp and prep and choose a stunning gown for the big day. While the stylists are busy, these ladies may be getting a little needle work from a plastic surgeon.
Amy Adams, American Hustle
Amy Adams has become something of a red carpet regular as she is routinely chosen as a nominee for her outstanding work in some of the most talked about films. In American Hustle, Amy showed a lot more skin than she usually does, but probably just upped her workout, not her plastic surgery. In the past, it has been rumored that Amy has had a nose job and uses Botox, but it seems more likely that the gorgeous redhead relies on makeup to conceal her few imperfections.
Judi Dench, Philomena
Judi Dench looks amazing and her performance in Philomena was nothing short of outstanding. While Judi is probably going to stick with her standard hair and makeup and conservative yet tasteful red carpet style, it seems that she may have had a little eyework done in the past. While Judi doesn’t speak about plastic surgery, she looks to be mostly natural. However the lack of bags around her eyes at her age seems indicative of a past plastic surgery.
Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine
Cate Blanchett has long been very outspoken in her stance against plastic surgery. Although the social climber she played in her nominated role would likely have had several nips and tucks, Cate probably used her acting abilities and great costumes and makeup to reflect that. Rather than plastic surgery to prep for the big night, Cate will probably rely on products like SK II, for which she is a spokesperson as well as her favorite holistic treatments, like drinking lemon water. Despite having to wear heavy makeup on screen for her roles, Cate has managed to maintain a very smooth, clear complexion. She probably wears sunscreen daily and a sunhat to avoid getting too much exposure on her fair skin.
Meryl Streep, August: Osage County
While Meryl is a rare actress that is able to take on any role with conviction, thanks to her great skill as well great makeup artistry that has transformed her into such notables as Julia Child and Margaret Thatcher, she never looks overly plasticized. However, many suspect that Meryl’s secret to always looking great has been some well done and judiciously used plastic surgery over the years, including a possible facelift and necklift and even a little touch of fillers or Botox to round out her well done and undetectable regimen.
Sandra Bullock, Gravity
It seems unlikely that Miss Congeniality would find herself listed amongst Hollywood’s best, but she has managed to not only make the list twice, but actually win the Oscar in the past. The secret to her success at staying America’s sweetheart could be plastic surgery, including a touch of Botox and fillers and even a slight nose job early in her career.
