  • You might not have heard of Cindy Jackson, but she’s the world record holder for having the most plastic surgery procedures in the world.

In a recent interview with ABC News, 55-year old Cindy Jackson talked about spending $100,000 on 52 plastic surgery procedures including: “14 full-scale operations, Botox, five facelifts, work on her upper and lower eyelids, knee liposuction and even injecting collagen into her hands to minimize her veins and tendons.”

For someone who has been under the knife so many times, Cindy looks remarkably normal, not at all like the Jocelyn Wildenstein disaster you would expect (See Make Me Heal’s story on Jocelyn Wildenstein’s plastic surgery).

She says, “For me, the best result is one that looks natural. I wouldn’t ever want anyone to stop and stare at me and say ‘that woman’s had a lot of surgery.’ I would never want to look like I’d had anything done.”

Although many would expect someone who has been under the knife so very many times to have some sort of agenda, Jackson says that breaking a record was never her intention. Her view on plastic surgery is very different from that of Sheyla Hershey, who wanted to have the world’s biggest breast implants at the risk of her health (See Make Me Heal’s story on Sheyla Hershey’s plastic surgery).

Cindy explains, “I didn’t set out to break, to set a world record, it was never my ambition, it’s just that I had so much done.”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia confesses to having mixed feelings about Cindy’s numerous plastic surgeries.

“I used to feel badly about patients who had had so much surgery, but patients like Cindy Jackson seem so well adjusted I am not sure anymore. Overall she still seems to look better than she did beforehand, but how much surgery is too much? There are some surgical “artifacts” in her facial movements which are bound to be present when so much surgery has occurred.”

“In the big picture, five facelifts does seem like too many for a middle aged woman. Then again she is happy so who am I to take that away from her?”

“I went from feeling badly about these types of cases to being a bit conflicted.”

Whether or not Cindy meant to set a record for plastic surgery, she did. When she’s not setting world records; she gives advice on plastic surgery and anti-aging and even does some modeling.
