  • The nominations are out and Makemeheal.com is kicking off the Oscars with a look at the plastic surgery potential of the Best Actor nominees.

    Demián Bichir, A Better Life

48-year old Demián Bichir is a Latino heartthrob for women of a certain age, but he could still use a little Botox to smooth out his skin and make him appear a little more youthful.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Demián Bichir does not appear to have had any cosmetic work done.  A little Botox to his forehead to smooth out some lines could make a huge difference in his face and give him a more youthful look.”

     George Clooney, The Descendants

50-year old George Clooney has long joked about plastic surgery, but so far seems to have refrained from actually getting that eyelid surgery (See Make Me Heal’s story on George Clooney’s plastic surgery). If George wanted to give plastic surgery a try, he could start with a little Botox in his forehead and some fillers like Restylane and Juvederm in his deeper crevices.

Dr. Salzhauer says, “George Clooney has naturally rugged good looks.  Some Botox and dermal fillers to smooth out some facial lines could really rejuvenate his look for the big night.”

    Jean Dujardin, The Artist

Until The Artist, 39-year old French actor Jean Dujardina was little known to American audiences. With the nomination for Best Actor, Jean could likely use a touch of Hollywood magic (aka Botox) to keep his new fame.

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Jean Dujardin has very youthful looking eyes and may have had a Blepharoplasty in the past.  He could use some Botox to smooth out the lines in his forehead.”

Gary Oldman, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

The deep lines and crevices make Gary Oldman look even older than his 53 years. A touch of Botox could help him look closer to his age, without transforming his appearance too much and ruining his immense acting talent.

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Gary Oldman does appear to use Botox on his forehead giving it a nice smooth look; however, if he were to use it on the sides of his eyes as well to reduce the appearance of those wrinkles (crows feet) he could look years younger.”

    Brad Pitt, Moneyball

48-year old Brad Pitt has learned a lot from his life partner, Angelina Jolie and it looks like he may want to take a turn from her again and learn from her about the wonders of plastic surgery. In the past, Brad has been thought to use Radiesse injections to look younger and he may want to have them again before the red carpet event of the year (See Make Me Heal’s story on Brad Pitt’s plastic surgery).

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Brad Pitt appears to have used Botox to his forehead, but could also use it between his eyebrows, also known as the glabella, to smooth out that deep line.  Eventually he may want to use some dermal fillers to fill out the area under his eyes that has lost volume.”

Many actors on the list have shied away from plastic surgery, but could do with a little touching up with minimal plastic surgery recovery before the red carpet.
