  • The Best Actress Oscar nominations have been revealed and Makemeheal.com has a few plastic surgery ideas for how the leading ladies of the silver screen may want to get red for the Academy Awards.

    Glenn Close, Alfred Nobbs

64-year old Glenn Close may play a woman playing a man in her Oscar-nominated role, but that doesn’t mean that the actress can’t get a little glammed up for the red carpet. While Glenn might use some Botox and fillers, she may want to try a chemical peel for the big night, to give her a glow and get rid of some minor flaws (See Make Me Heal’s story on Glenn Close’s plastic surgery).

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Glenn Close looks great and very natural.  She doesn’t appear to have had much cosmetic work done.  She most likely uses Botox and fillers to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  A chemical peel a few days before the big night could give her a rejuvenated glow for the spotlight.”

    Viola Davis, The Help

46-year old Viola Davis is no stranger to the Oscars, having been nominated before. This year Viola looks to be helping her chances with a little Botox and fillers and may have also had a nose job at some time in the past, to help refine the tip (See Make Me Heal’s story on Viola Davis’ plastic surgery)

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Viola Davis appears to keep a smooth look to her skin by using Botox to her forehead and fillers to fill in any lines or creases.  It appears that she may have had her nose refined with a Rhinoplasty to give her a more refined tip to her nose.”

Rooney Mara, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

26-year old Rooney Mara has gotten plenty of attention for her looks, as the title character in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. In real life, Rooney may use plastic surgery to help get her noticed by the camera, including a nose job and Botox.

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Rooney Mara appears to have had a nose job or Rhinoplasty giving her a more refined look.  She likely uses Botox to give her forehead such a smooth look and her eyebrows that nice arch.”

    Meryl Streep, Iron Lady

62-year old Meryl Streep has always denied plastic surgery, but many suspect the great actress of having had a necklift in the past and perhaps a touch of Botox in the forehead (See Make Me Heal’s story on Meryl Streep’s plastic surgery).

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Meryl Streep has had some facial cosmetic enhancements in the past. She has a very youthful look to her face and skin and may be the result of a face and neck lift along with Botox and dermal fillers to smooth out the fine lines and wrinkles.”

Michelle Williams, My Week with Marilyn

31-year old Michelle Williams has been rocking a pixie haircut for a while now, revealing a forehead that may be smoothed with Botox, as well as a possible nose job and even fillers in her lips (See Make Me Heal’s story on Michelle Williams’ plastic surgery).

Dr. Salzhauer says, “Michelle Williams appears to have had her nose done in the past giving her that beautifully defined nose.  She may have used some dermal fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm to give her that full look to her lips.  Botox has given her a flawless look to her forehead.  She looks like she is Oscar ready.”

With a couple of weeks until the big event, these ladies have plenty of time for quick touch up that needs only the briefest of plastic surgery recovery.
