Award season isn’t over quite yet. The 2014 MTV Movie Award Nominees have just been announced and Conan O’Brian will host the event when it comes around next month. Many nominees are similar to the Oscars, but mixed in with a lot more comedies and big hits. Until the official show, here’s a look at some of the stars nominated in favorite categories and a little back ground on their plastic surgery.
Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams – American Hustle
For a while the kiss between Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams was all anyone could talk about. While the ladies look great doing it, neither actress appears to have had plastic surgery. It seems this dynamic duo is all about the performance, not plastic surgery.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson – Don Jon
The indie film wasn’t as shocking as you’d think, but it was fun to watch and although both stars were child actors, neither seems to have picked up on Hollywood’s plastic surgery habit. Although Scarlett Johansson is the subject of nose job and breast implant rumors from time to time, neither of which the actress has admitted to.
James Franco, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens – Spring Breakers
James Franco is likely too much of an artist to spend time under the knife—although if he does eventually opt for some plastic surgery, that will likely be for the sake of art as well. Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens both appear to be natural, although after Vanessa’s youthful nude photo indiscretion many wondered if the former Disney star had breast implants.
Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller – The Spectacular Now
Shailene Woodley takes great pride in her natural approach to life, even foraging for food and water, so it is unlikely that she has had any cosmetic work done. Given that Miles Teller isn’t a typical leading man, it is unlikely that he has been under the knife as well.
Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter – We’re the Millers
Emma Roberts has taken after her famous aunt, Julia, and gone into the famous business. Julia has adamantly denied plastic surgery in the past and Emma is likely following suit.
Jennifer Aniston has openly admitted to having several nose jobs to correct a deviated septum, which has slightly altered her nose’s appearance over the years. And while she has admitted to trying Botox in the past, she says she doesn’t use it because she didn’t like the effect and we are inclined to believe her.
Given his young age and baby face, it is unlikely that Will Poulter has had plastic surgery.
Best Shirtless Performance
Jennifer Aniston – We’re the Millers
The only lady in the category and the only nominee over 40, Jennifer Aniston looks great without a shirt on—but the slight sag in her amazing breasts indicates that they natural, not enhanced, although she may undergo laser treatments and self tanning to keep her skin looking clear and youthful, in addition to using skincare.
Sam Claflin – The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Sam Clafin most likely worked out and relied on movie makeup to enhance his shirtless performance in The Hunger Games sequel. Sam has a few lines in his forehead and between his brows that seemed to have been erased only in the film, indicating that movie magic and not Botox or other plastic surgery is at play.
Leonardo DiCaprio – The Wolf of Wall Street
Leonardo DiCaprio is well known for his relationships with supermodels and may have borrowed some tips to show some skin for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street, but he does not look to have had plastic surgery.
Zac Efron – That Awkward Moment
Zac Efron is rumored to have had a slight nose job in between filming some of his star making sequels in Disney’s High School Musical franchise, but once he takes his shirt off, who’s looking at his nose?
Chris Hemsworth – Thor: The Dark World
Chris Hemsworth looks like the Nordic god he plays, but likely because of a devoted fitness regimen, not plastic surgery.
