Mischa Barton, star of the now-ended Fox drama The OC has been fighting a losing battle with cellulite for some time. While the tabloids and fans obsess over how unsightly her cellulite appears, Make Me Heal offers Mischa some solutions. The 22-year old actress has an otherwise good body, but seems to have a chronic battle with cellulite. As tabloids consistently reported on her cottage cheese thighs, Mischa began insisting that the photos were doctored to make her look bad and add drama. But as more recent photos of her ripples and dimples appear, it seems that Mischa really is the bearer of cellulite.
Many stars suffer from cellulite (See Make Me Heal’s story on Celebrities with Cellulite), including Kim Kardashian, Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock. But many stars that have cellulite also combat it with cellulite treatments to avoid unflattering photos.
VelaSmooth contours the skin where cellulite occurs, helping to reduce the appearance of saddlebags and love handles, which add the appearance of girth, VelaSmooth uses unique ELOS (Electro-Optical Synergy) technology, which maximizes the synergy of conducted RF energy, that is frequently used in medicine and optical energy and would be an excellent tool in Mischa’s fight with cellulite.
Reality stars, Kim Kardashian and her sisters, recently underwent The VelaShapeTM Cellulite Treatment, from the makers of VelaSmooth. It is a non-invasive laser treatment that heats fat cells and then uses a vacuum to smooth out the uneven appearance of the skin. (See Make Me Heal’s story on the Kim Kardashian & Sisters’ Plastic Surgery). Although treatments can be expensive, for a star like Mischa, it definitely seems like a worthy investment.
Mesotherapy is another possible solution for Mischa’s battle against the tiny bulges. Mesotherapy is a popular procedure in Europe. It is aimed at reducing fat and improving the appearance of cellulite through a series of injections with micro needles. It is rumored that Britney Spears had mesotherapy.
If Mischa doesn’t want to go public about her fight against cellulite, she could use the Wellbox Anti-Cellulite Device in the privacy of her own home, as it is rumored Catherine Zeta-Jones and Paris Hilton use the Wellbox. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Catherine Zeta-Jones’ weight loss).
Another self-treatment option would be to use anti-cellulite stockings such as those made by Solidea. Anti-cellulite stocking reduce the “orange-peel” appearance of cellulite by using a special blend of fibers to improve circulation and gives a “micro-massage” with regular movement to eliminate the fat cells and fluid build-up that create the appearance of cellulite. They look like regular pantyhose and can be found in any shape and size to be worn under pants or skirts, so the world need never know about Mischa’s battle.
Despite the pictures and fuss about her lumpy legs, Mischa remains proud of her body, saying, “We work out and we eat healthy and we do what we do, I feel very comfortable. I come from a European family that’s always very comfortable with their bodies.”
While Make Me Heal applauds Mischa’s positive body image, we do think she could at least wear longer skirts, if she doesn’t want to try an anti-cellulite treatment, to avoid the commotion her cottage-cheese thighs cause.
