Robin Wright is back on Netflix when the second season of House of Cards becomes available this Valentine’s Day. In a promotional interview with The Telegraph, Robin Wright opened up on everything from her love life since divorcing Sean Penn to Botox. Apparently Robin is a big fan, and according to her, everyone else is too.
While the latest trend in Hollywood seems to be down playing Botox use or downright denying it, actress Robin Wright is bucking the trend and admitting to doing “sprinkles” of the wrinkle-ridding injectable. According to Robin, the key to Botox is moderation.
When asked about using Botox in the interview, Robin cheekily replied, ““You bet. Everybody f— does it. I suppose I can’t say ‘everybody’ because I don’t know for sure, but come on… It’s just the tiniest sprinkle of Botox twice a year. I think most women do 10 units, but that freezes the face and you can’t move it. This is just one unit, and it’s just sprinkled here and there to take the edge off.” She hesitates. “Perhaps it’s not wise to put that in a magazine? But I ain’t hiding anything.”
Indeed, Robin’s Botox use is so judicial that she even had Makemeheal.com fooled. On the show, Robin shows enough signs of aging to demonstrate that she’s come quite a long way since Princess Buttercup fell in love with Wesley. She has wrinkles in her forehead and is able to portray whatever dramatic face she needs to in order to keep up with the intense show.
In addition, although she looks great, Robin does show signs of age. She looks like an older version of herself, rather than the plasticized smooth bobble head that many actresses resemble when they decide to use Botox to smooth out every wrinkle and fine line in sight.
Robin’s carefree admission of using Botox seems to be in keeping with her happy life after separating from Sean Penn and committing to younger actor Ben Foster.
In addition to using Botox, Robin has other ways of keeping fit as well. While her House of Cards character is constantly going on runs, Robin says she likes to exercise, but switches up her routine because she gets bored easily. One thing that does hold her interest is Zumba.
Robin says, “Oh my God, Zumba is the greatest invention ever for women. I like to exercise, though I do nothing consistently because I get bored and impatient. With Zumba, you’re dancing, you’re moving your hips. So much fun.”
Indeed over all, Robin seems to be enjoying life and having fun, which is probably another reason she looks so great:
“I think we manifest the very thing we put out. If you’re putting out negativity, then you’re going to retrieve that same sentiment. If you emanate joy, it comes back to you. I don’t think there was much joy coming back to me before, because I wasn’t putting much out.”
Robin sounds to be the opposite of her dark character on House of Cards.none
