Rose McGowan isn’t your typical case of celebrity plastic surgery overload. Back in 2007, Rose was in a car wreck that left her in need of numerous reconstructive surgery procedures. Since then, Rose may have become over zealous in her quest to return to her pre-accident look and has used a lot of fillers and Botox, frequently drawing comparisons to bad plastic surgery, including Michael Jackson. It seems that Rose is tired of being compared to the deceased King of Pop and is fighting back against commentators.
Us Weekly reports that the comments began when the Charmed actress posted a picture of herself wearing sunglasses, posing behind some unknown structure with the simple caption, “Afghanistan.”
One commenter then wrote, “You look like Michael Jackson,” while another by the name @Katrinabunny commented: “#michaeljackson no more plastic surgery please!”
38-year old Rose immediately responded to the comments, fighting back with “@katrinabunny coming from, ummm, you.”
Rose then added, “Has anyone stopped to think that Michael Jackson used to be black, and tried to turn himself into a white, possibly Irish person with a cleft chin and a tiny nose? I was born Irish. So f–k off losers.”
To illustrate her point, Rose followed up with photo proof of side-by-side Michael Jackson photos before and after his famously numerous plastic surgeries along with the caption: “Exactly. You dumb f–ks. Eat it.”
Some fans came to the actresses defense and she later moved on from the incident by posting another selfie, this one with the caption, “An alien in NY.”
While Rose’s foray into plastic surgery most likely began with numerous reconstructive procedures including a possible nose job and fillers as well as liposculpture to help improve the appearance of her scars, more recently she often looks to be going a little overboard. Most likely Rose had a nose job that was overly aggressive, or had to be done with very little material after her accident, which is why her nasal tip appears to be pinched and similar to Michael Jackson. However, her chin dimple has always existed, unlike Michael Jackson, who had his done with plastic surgery.
The official story is that Rose’s glasses cut into her face, leaving her with a large scar under her eye.
In interviews, Rose has said, “I didn’t realize I was hurt until I put my hand to my face and felt the flap of skin.”
Frequently, Rose’s face appears to be swollen, so she may be getting photographed too soon after getting injectable fillers or collagen injections placed or she may be overdoing the treatments in an effort to balance out filling in her scar with the rest of her face.
Now that Rose is older, she may also be trying to battle signs of aging along with the damage that occurred from the accident. Frequently there are rumors that Rose has had a facelift, but given her young age for the procedure, it seems rather unlikely.none
