British actor Rupert Everett was once a handsome leading man. But then plastic surgery rumors began circulating and the public began seeing a lot less of him. Pop singer Dannii Minogue was once a popular singer. But then fans of talent contest X-Factor began to notice how plastic she looked and she has since made tabloids more for her appearance than her opinion. Now both Rupert and Dannii have addressed the comments.
37-year old Dannii has had quite a lot of plastic surgery to transform herself into the glamorous judge on the hit UK show X-Factor. In the past, she has been rumored to have had a breast augmentation, nose job and lip augmentation (See Make Me Heal’s story on Dannii Minogue’s plastic surgery). Now, she has begun to address her appearance, admitting that she has gone overboard on the Botox and has stopped having the wrinkle-fighting injections.
Dannii says, “I see the comments. Plastic. All Botox. I can see what people see, but I have to say that – while I have been open about doing it before – I’m not doing it now.”
“For ‘The X Factor’ it is actually quite useful to be able to have facial expressions! There is so much more pressure on women. If you can get older and be happier within yourself, that’s the main thing.”
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Spalding Drive Cosmetic Surgery says, “Dannii is a stunning lady. Facial plastic surgery and injectibles are a personal choice. She may not need Botox now but she may change her mind with time.”
New York plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer says, “It is hard to tell whether Dannii Minoque has stopped Botox for sure. Needless to say, if she has, we will all know in 3 to 6 months as the last injections wear off.”
At 50, Rupert Everett has already made countless lists of bad plastic surgery, including Make Me Heal’s (See Make Me Heal’s story on bad male plastic surgery).
Rupert is rumored to have undergone multiple facial surgeries, including eyelifts, facelifts and overuse of injectables. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Rupert Everett’s plastic surgery).
Dr .Shafer says, “Rupert Everett appears as though he has had changes from previous pictures to his cheeks, lips and chin. This can all be achieved with injections. Sometimes people do not consider injections ‘plastic surgery’ but still take on a plastic look. Either way, nothing can be said for certain from the pictures.”
In an interview with Britain’s Daily Mail, “Come on, look for yourself. You won’t find any marks or scars. I have not had a facelift. Do you see marks of any kind?”
Dr. Nassif says, “He may not have scars behind his ears but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t had anything done. It looks like he’s used some botox to the sides of his forehead. His eyes are bigger than they previously were suggesting upper and lower blepharoplasties to open up his peepers. He does look like he’s had a nose job. If you look closely, the nose is more triangular shaped from the top to the base, unlike previous sightings. Furthermore, his nose is thinner that it was and the tip is narrower. His chin is also a bit broader and softer in appearance than it was before, suggesting a chin implant.”
However, Rupert didn’t rule out plastic surgery in the future. When asked, he said, “Why not? But all these things are better for girls because a man’s forehead that doesn’t move is too big. For girls, if they have hair over it, it’s all right, but for guys it’s not really a thing that works particularly well.”
“Yes, those images went all the way round the world and at one point I even lost a job from a great Australian director because of him seeing the before and after images in a newspaper. You can protest as much as you like, but they just doctor the photos.”
Make Me Heal remains unconvinced that Rupert is entirely procedure free, but is glad that Dannii understands where she went wrong and cuts down on plastic surgery and Botox in the future.
