  • Sheyla Hershey removed her 38KKK cup size after having them removed in an emergency surgery due to a bad reaction. Despite nearly dying due to the extreme size of her breast implants, Sheyla is back to plastic surgery.

31-year old Sheyla Hershey has had over 30 breast surgeries (See Make Me Heal’s story on World’s Biggest Implant Removal). But after breast augmentation to make her breasts the biggest in the world, Sheyla ended up having her implants removed before a very painful breast augmentation recovery.

Sheyla didn’t give up on her dream for oversized implants and recently traveled to Mexico to undergo a new procedure to “reinflate” her breasts.

She tells the Daily Mail, “Not having my breasts was killing me, I didn’t know if I could make it through 2012 without them,” she said.

“My breasts had become part of me and I was deformed without them. I felt like I had lost a leg.”

The 31-year-old, who had the operation in secret to prevent her concerned husband from finding out, says she is elated with the results.

“It is a miracle. I never thought I would have my breasts back again,’ she said. ‘I almost feel whole again.”
“My husband knew that I was going to Cancun in Mexico to get my breasts reconstructed,” said Sheyla.

“He didn’t know that I was going to have them reinflated with saline and that I planned to return to my previous size of 38MMM, but I was desperate to claim my status as having the world’s largest breast implants.”

Dr. David Shafer, celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City says, ” Implants that large are obviously not healthy as she has already experienced.  It is patients like this that give plastic surgery a bad name.  The vast majority of plastic surgery patients are seeking safe and natural results.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It is very risky for Sheyla Hershey to pursue having the “world’s largest” breast implants after she already encountered complications from already trying to do so.  The risks for increased scar tissue and complications goes up after multiple surgeries to the same area.”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia writes, “It is funny. Just as I write about a woman who has been (in my way of thinking) unfairly maligned for having her Labiae reduced, Sheyla Hershey returns like a phoenix to have her breast implants replaced. Her desire to have implants in the “World’s largest” class despite her tragic history of infection and hospitalization is at the least unwise. She is very likely better served with psychiatry than surgery.”

“On the issue of the excess skin, the fact that it was left when her infected implants were removed is the only reason she has any chance of hosting implants of any size again. As she is having surgery in Mexico, the limitations of the FDA are not in effect. The liability an American surgeon would have getting anywhere near that operation probably severely curtailed her ability to have implant surgery once again in the US anyway. ”

“Sheyla is likely having multiple tissue expanders and/or breast implants placed and slowly over inflated to get to her goal size. As you probably know there are limitations as to how large standard FDA approved breast implants can be. At around 1000 cc each, a single unit will certainly fall short of Sheyla’s desires assuming her skin will reliably house the monster sized implants she wants. And that no pun intended is a stretch. Custom made implants are also an option when you have surgery outside of the US.”

“Even if she can avoid infection returning, she will at the very least look lumpy if not deformed due to the tissue loss and scarring of her previous breast surgery and infection. We can’t see her breasts very well as she is clothed. This might work to her advantage if she is able to work clothed. She was a model in the past.”

“Apparently Sheyla lied to her husband about the surgery and after she returned to the US, he threatened her with divorce. ”

Sheyla apparently suffers from bipolar disorder and says she spoke to her psychiatrist about her need to go back under the knife, despite her husband’s fears for her safety
